This publication has been in suspension since March 2003 for reasons fully explained on the Home Page.  Much has happened in the United States, as well as the rest of the world, since the last edition.  ... Sadly, most of it disturbing.  Until return to online publication, the format will remain as follows.    T.C. December 4, 2006

Got guts? Tired of being lied to? Like an alternative source of information truly independent and free of government propaganda? Want this publication to continue? Send a financial donation to P.O. Box 997, Buchanan Dam, Tx. 78609.

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (12-4-06).

Working definition of fascism for new readers? An abusive and dangerous oligarchy based on a pernicious blend of government, big business, and religion. ... A boot-heel cynically placed on the throat of the masses, justified in principle by perversion and bastardization of religion.

Government Keeps Traveler Info Forty Years December 1, 2006

Since the 9/11 catastrophe, the United States government has secretly gathered traveler information into a database that will be kept as long as forty years.  Air travelers, cruise passengers, etc. have been targeted.  Information collected, but not limited to credit card numbers, telephone numbers, addresses, who bought tickets and where from, etc., is secret and cannot be challenged.  -- A citizen is cleverly branded for life.

A "risk assessment score" is kept on each passenger.  Passengers are not informed of their "score."  Every time they fly they are subject to that "score," a "score" they cannot challenge.  Government goons claim this information is kept only for "national 'security'" purposes and not an invasion of privacy.  Most passengers are too damned stupid to know any better and readily accept such jack-booted practices Hitler and Mussolini would have been proud of.
... Again who won the Second World War?

Bush Remains Intransigent On Iraq December 1, 2006

Having returned from a trip to the Middle East, the "President" has made it clear there will be no substantive change in American policy in Iraq.  In a news conference staged after a summit with Maliki, Mr. Bush indicated the Iraq Prime Minister is indeed his man.  ... This, after a pre-election National Security Advisor memo was leaked to The New York Times questioning Maliki's ability to govern and complaining of his irksome alliance with Shiites.  Fascinating, isn't it?

Moreover, the "President" has reiterated his refusal to remove combat forces from Iraq until "victory" is achieved.  Clearly, Mr. Bush is delusional.  The "independent" bi-partisan commission of elder statesmen tapped to come up with a new plan for Iraq is due to release its "findings" next week.  From leaked reports apparently, they will not call for any substantive change in American policy, -- other than the beginning of troop re-deployment.  -- Whatever the hell that means.

LA Cops Beat Rap On Killing Of Girl November 29, 2006

Eleven of Los Angeles' "finest" have been let off the hook for killing a 19-month-old girl held as a shield by her father.  Apparently in LA, anyone in the vicinity of a criminal targeted by law enforcement can be lawfully killed by officers, who clearly now have authorization to disregard the safety and welfare of those in proximity.  ... How does one tell the difference between police and criminals?  The police have badges, the criminals don't.  Comforting, isn't it?

NY Cops Kill Bridegroom  November 28, 2006

Early Saturday morning, New York's "finest" fired 50 rounds into a car killing an un-armed man who was to be married later in the day.  Two of his friends were wounded.  All three were unarmed and committed no crime.  The jack-booted thugs responsible for this murderous attack have been placed on "administrative leave," -- a paid vacation.  Care to bet these "heroes" are never prosecuted?

Red Cross Fined $5.7 Million  November 28, 2006

As reported recently in this publication, the American Red Cross was in trouble for mis-handling blood.  The government has now imposed a $5.7 million fine.  Tough, isn't it?  For an extensive review of Red Cross foibles some three and half years ago, click here

ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions

The following is a series of unedited email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and this writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year ago.  To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint filed.  Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues, -- or is wildly incompetent.  You decide.  ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions
