This publication has been in suspension since March 2003 for reasons fully explained on the Home Page.  Much has happened in the United States, as well as the rest of the world, since the last edition.  ... Sadly, most of it disturbing.  Until return to online publication, the format will remain as follows.    T.C. November 13, 2006

Got guts? Tired of being lied to? Like an alternative source of information truly independent and free of government propaganda? Want this publication to continue? Send a financial donation to P.O. Box 997, Buchanan Dam, Tx. 78609.

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (11-13-06).

Working definition of fascism for new readers? An abusive and dangerous oligarchy based on a pernicious blend of government, big business, and religion. ... A boot-heel cynically placed on the throat of the masses, justified in principle by perversion and bastardization of religion.

Winds Of Change  November 10, 2006

With midterms over, no more political ads for awhile.  ... Aren't we lucky?  Campaign advertising far more aversive than ever.  Time for change.  Deliberate distortion of reality and outright lying truly indicative of moral bankruptcy of the entire political system in our once great country.  Yet, after the elections all is forgiven and vicious opponents suddenly become friends, -- supposedly capable of working together.  ... Who'd 'a 'thunk' it, no?

With Democrats seizing control of both houses of Congress, the charade played by the "President" and new congressional leadership is amusing to watch.  Be interesting to see how much true cooperation will occur, -- and how long.  Already, Democrats are rightfully considering blocking the re-nomination of John Bolton as UN Ambassador.  Tough, isn't it?

With little to no real difference between both major political parties, though, can only wonder how much will substantively change.  Hopefully, however, Democrats will quickly launch investigations of the Bush "Administration" on a number of contentious issues including the invasion of Iraq under false pretenses, warrantless domestic NSA spying, the USA "Patriot" Act, a number of outrageously unconstitutional Executive Orders by the "President," etc..

... Precisely, why the "President" dumped Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld the day after the election.  -- In favor of Robert Gates.  ... Whose CIA affiliation and actions at the time of Iran-Contra, (illegal trade of weapons for hostages during the Reagan Administration against congressional proscriptions), were ignored, not investigated or prosecuted.  No question, Mr. Bush will hurry the nomination through the Senate before both houses of Congress change hands in January.

Unless change is substantive, however, it's meaningless.  -- Whether the issue is the Iraq War, loss of civil and constitutional rights and liberties, torture of "detainees," kangaroo military tribunals planned for "enemy combatants," etc..  With little to no significant difference between Democrats and Republicans, will certainly be fascinating to see whether gutless Democrats have any real collective backbone or "plan" to take our formerly great country in a new direction.

In Texas, however, there will certainly be no change in direction, period.  With GOP retention of all state offices, Texas will remain Right Wing and fascist.  -- The Lieutenant Governor going so far as to say he will support execution of repeat child sex offenders.  Fascinating, isn't it?

Should this insanity pass the legislature not only will children continue to be sexually molested, they'll be killed by offenders desperate to destroy all evidence of their crimes.  Sadly, after all, what will they have to lose?  ... Another clear cut example of the inability of the Fascist Right to offer insightful analysis and viable solutions to our most difficult problems.  ... "Symbolism over substance," to quote a Right Wing radio talk show host from New York.

ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions

The following is a series of unedited email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and this writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year ago.  To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint filed.  Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues, -- or is wildly incompetent.  You decide.  ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions
