Bush Combative During News Conference  August 21, 2006

Clearly, unparalleled job stress is affecting the "President" and his "judgment."  Mr. Bush was amusingly combative during an impromptu news conference this morning.  The "War On Terror" is not going particularly well.  Especially, in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Ole' George "The Tush" was disingenuously animated, demonstrably agitated, and charmingly testy during questioning.  Remarkably defensive of the failing effort, particularly in Iraq.  ... Tough, isn't it?

Rhetoric from the "President" and his henchmen grows increasingly shrill, pointed, and comically condescending, hyperbolic as well.  -- The mark of a politician clearly losing the argument.  Seems Mr. Bush is disturbingly detached from reality.  Claims, disingenuously, should we withdraw terrorists will immediately follow us here and attack.  ... Is that so, George?  Do you really believe your own BS, Mr. "President?"  Or is it simply a convenient ruse?

At the very least, the "President" is distorting reality for political expediency.  At worst, hopelessly paranoid.  Regardless, simply doesn't "get it."  -- Had State Department officials run comprehensive background checks on all nineteen 9/11 hijackers, the catastrophe would likely have been prevented.  Not one employee has been criminally prosecuted for dereliction of duty, however.  Not one fired.  The "President" clearly protects his own.  Why?

In addition, Mr. Bush seems to have conveniently forgotten the United States is directly responsible for creation of the Middle East terrorist monster.  Six decades of a grossly unevenhanded approach vis a vis the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the largest contributing factor.  Deliberate, seemingly permanent garrison of American troops in Moslem countries is another.  Without question, highly offensive to the Islamic community.

Determined support of the outrageously corrupt and abusive House of Saud is still another.  Failure of the United States to become energy independent fifty years ago is also conveniently ignored by the "President" and his henchmen.

Insatiable import of Arab crude has fueled the crisis in the Middle East.  -- If oil wasn't front and center to the American economy, Israeli butchers in Tel Aviv would have long since been reined in.  Would have been justly pressured, indeed forced if necessary to withdraw to pre-1967 borders decades ago and fully compensate Arabs looted of their property at the time the State of Israel was created in 1948.  ... Despite the fact the conflict goes back to biblical times.

All factors just listed and more are directly responsible for the terrorist monster.  Yet, Mr. Bush and his cronies have no intention of changing U.S. policy, -- policy that is foolishly feeding the beast.  Again, why?

Sadly, the "President" does not understand the war in Iraq has already been lost.  Never could have been won.  Admitting a colossal mistake and withdrawing are not tantamount to "cutting and running" as Bush and his henchmen would have us conveniently and disingenuously believe.

Rather, it would show our formerly great country to be courageous and big enough to admit a mistake was indeed made.  It would also temporarily severely damage the GOP politically, precisely why the "President" would never do so.  After all, political expediency always comes first, the nation second.  Traitorously, so.

Mr. Bush may have no choice in the near future, however.  Iraq is already in the throes of civil war.  Has been the last three and a half years since the "President" and his political henchmen invaded under false pretenses.  Conditions, worsening by the day.  At some point, American troops will have to be withdrawn for their safety.  A force of approximately 130,000 is no match for a country of 26 million in chaos.

Sadly, Mr. Bush and his henchmen have betrayed our troops, using their sacrifice for political gain and self-serving aggrandizement.  Worse, he's severely damaged the military.  ... Damage so profound and systemic it will take years to correct.  Retired generals have repeatedly warned the current operational status cannot be maintained much longer.  Extremely dangerous, and a true threat to national security.  -- Of far greater long-term concern than bin Laden, al Qaeda, or the civil war in Iraq.

As mentioned earlier, the "President" is growing increasingly patronizing and condescending in his approach to dissent.  Thinks only he knows best.  ... Those who disagree supposedly have no grasp on international reality and assumed true intentions of terrorists.  -- Only the "President" and his henchmen do.  Convenient, isn't it?

Bush severely criticized Judge Anna Diggs Taylor for ruling warrantless NSA domestic spying to be unconstitutional.  Claims the Judge does not understand true nature of the terrorist threat.  Sadly, it is the fascist currently occupying the Oval Office who does not understand the Fourth Amendment and its requirement of warrants.  ... And the extremely important reason for that requirement.

-- Warrants based on probable cause to lawfully and constitutionally invade privacy of anyone targeted by government in good faith or perniciously, -- innocent or otherwise.  Not the whim of a fascist fuhrer.  ... A self-serving dictator who haughtily believes only he knows best.  As the Judge clearly stated, we have "no hereditary kings."  Indeed.

Worse, the "President" has deliberately eviscerated the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments by signing outrageously unconstitutional legislation into law such as the USA "Patriot" Act, Homeland "Security" Act, etc., and other equally unconstitutional Executive Orders.  All cleverly and deliberately designed to perniciously consolidate power, eviscerate civil and constitutional rights and liberties falsely in the name of "national security."

Our country is a small fraction of what it used to be.  The "President" hypocritically proselytizes "freedom" and "liberty" in Iraq while eviscerating it here.  The inconsistency is glaring and truly pathetic.  Would be laughable if not so profoundly tragic and dangerous to our democratic republic.  Sadly, the gutless public has bought the ruse, -- hook, line, and sinker.

The "President" warns pre-mature withdrawal from Iraq would be "disastrous."  Supposedly, would embolden terrorists, destabilize the entire Middle East, and lead to a terrorist haven.  Too late, George.  All that has happened and worse.  The invasion of Iraq facilitated creation of a terrorist haven.  -- A haven that did not exist there prior to the unprovoked attack.  Sadly, the first time in U.S. history an American President has so disgraced himself and the country.

Worse, Iraq has become a training ground for terrorists.  Has certainly allowed them to become more proficient in killing Americans and others than they already were.  The American invasion of Iraq under false pretenses hopelessly destabilized the Middle East.  Leaving couldn't make things any worse than they already are.

Moslems are convinced the United States is deliberately imposing its will through the use of force.  That it is occupying Iraq, not "liberating" it.  Sadly, this is the exceptionally stark Moslem perception of American policy.  Rightly or wrongly, perception is indeed reality.

Tragically, Aryan arrogance and delusion preclude the "President" and his henchmen from understanding this.  Precisely, why the war in Iraq has been lost, why the war in Afghanistan is faltering, and why the overall  "War On Terror" will be ultimately a failure.  ... Unless the "President" and his henchmen quickly wake up.

ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions

The following is a series of unedited email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and this writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year ago.  To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint filed.  Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues, -- or is wildly incompetent.  You decide.  ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions
