Israelis Break Truce August 19, 2006
Five days after the ceasefire began, Israeli commandos attacked Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon. One Israeli terrorist, an officer, was killed, two wounded. Three Hezbollah terrorists were also killed in the firefight. The Israelis claimed to have launched the attack in "self defense" in an effort to prevent re-supply of Hezbollah guerillas.
Lebanon
has filed a complaint
with the UN Security Council. Secretary General Kofi Anan has
already
criticized Israel for the blatant violation. Outraged
Lebanese authorities
are threatening to end the deployment of troops to southern Lebanon to
act as a buffer between Israel and Hezbollah. ... What webs
we weave.
A
Detroit federal judge has ruled
warrantless NSA domestic spying unconstitutional. Pending
appeal,
NSA will be allowed to continue this outrageously unconstitutional
abrogation
of the Fourth Amendment. Judge Anna Diggs Taylor correctly
ruled
there are "no hereditary kings" in the United States. --
She's right.
... Nor Nazi fuhrers. -- Until now.
John Mark Karr was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand for the murder of six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey ten years ago. Karr was paraded in front of cameras and confessed without counsel present to the killing of the little girl. ... Claiming it to have been "accidental."
John and Patsy Ramsey were suspected for years of committing the crime, but remained unindicted. Patsy recently died of ovarian cancer in June, aware her daughter's alleged killer would soon be arrested.
Loss of a murdered child is unimaginable. Worse, being falsely accused of the crime. Mr. Ramsey has wisely withheld comment, urging justice be allowed to run its course. Hopefully, prosecutors have their ducks lined up in a row and are prepared to quickly move.
Disturbingly, however, Karr was paraded before cameras overseas without benefit of counsel. Hopefully, this will in no way jeopardize the case. -- Provided, of course, Mr. Karr indeed committed the crime he confessed to. Time will tell.
Already,
serious questions have
arisen. Karr claims to have drugged the girl. --
There were
no drugs found during post mortem. He claims her death was
unintentional.
-- That also contradicts autopsy results. There is no
evidence yet
that indicates he knew the girl, or had lived or worked in
Boulder.
DNA results are pending. Hopefully, authorities have evidence
not
yet publicly released. Again, we'll see.
Regardless, Karr remains
under suicide watch awaiting arrival of Boulder authorities.
Thankfully, the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon appears to be holding. Israeli terrorists are returning home. Hezbollah terrorists have not fired rockets at Israel. While there has been some combat between Israeli and Hezbollah fighters, the truce has basically held.
Both sides are claiming victory. The truth is remarkably simple and quite easy to understand, however. Israel has successfully killed innocent civilians and pulverized Lebanese infrastructure. Most Israeli casualties were military. Conversely, most Lebanese casualties were civilian. ... Again, who are the "terrorists?"
Ironically,
support for Hezbollah
has exponentially increased. The Israelis have foolishly
enabled
creation of still yet another generation of terrorists.
Worse, they've
deliberately inflamed Moslem hatred and guarantied terrorist violence
will
continue for generations.
...
Again, who "won?"
The
following is a series of unedited
email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and
this

ago.
To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been
received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint
filed.
Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues,
-- or is wildly incompetent. You decide. ACLU-Criminal
