Bush Troop Withdrawal Ruse Begins June 25, 2006
After hypocritically skewering Democrats for proposing two soundly defeated Iraq troop withdrawal resolutions earlier this week, the Bush "Administration" has cleverly leaked pending troop withdrawal plans by Gen. George W. Casey, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq. These plans will extend over a three-year period, and only be implemented, of course, if conditions on the ground warrant. -- Stunningly convenient and timely, no?
Especially, in light of the "Blueprint For Reconciliation" just announced by Iraq Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. The "Blueprint" calls for unspecified withdrawal of all foreign troops and an offer of amnesty to insurgents who have not killed American or Iraqi forces. ... Generous, isn't it? The handwriting is clearly on the walls, friends.
The
fascist occupying the Oval
Office, gravely concerned with possible GOP loss of the House in coming
midterms, has cunningly begun his troop withdrawal ruse. -- A
phony
cowardly political game that will result in even more deaths and
maiming
of American service personnel as a token number of troops are removed,
leaving remaining ones even more at risk.
With one week to Space Shuttle launch, there are lingering concerns about safety. Despite objections of the Chief Engineer and Chief Safety Officer, NASA is determined to proceed with the mission. Should this flight end catastrophically, whose heads will roll?
With
violence unabated in Iraq,
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki again issued a state of emergency order
to
quell insurgent activity. ... Does he really believe a curfew
will
solve the problem?
Trailing 18 points to his Democrat opponent, Sen. Rick Santorum, R-PA is not beyond distorting reality, -- if not outright lying like hell. Seems Mr. Santorum is claiming "weapons of mass destruction" have indeed been found in Iraq. Even the military was quick to deny his claim. What were found were some 500 obsolete nerve gas shells that were manufactured well before the first Gulf War fought by Bush, The First some sixteen years ago. Not modern workable weapons of mass destruction Bush, The Second falsely claimed and used as a ruse to invade and topple Saddam. Mr. Santorum is a bold faced liar. Then again, what else can one expect from a Right Wing fascist?
Under
enormous pressure, the Bush
"Administration" admitted it has accessed international bank records of
tens of thousands of American citizens since 2001 in the name of
"national
security." The "President" and his henchmen justify this
outrageous
invasion of privacy and fishing expedition as "necessary" to protect
Americans
from foreign attack. Nazi America.
Where day is night,
night is day, and manure smells perversely sweet. As Franklin
wisely
stated well over two hundred years ago, anyone willing to trade liberty
for security deserves and winds up with neither.
Seven individuals were arraigned in Miami earlier today for plotting to blow up the Sears Tower in Chicago and a federal building in Miami. The "Justice" Department admits the group, "The Moors," was more delusional than a direct threat. No bombs were found.
"Planning" was pathetically juvenile. The group, under constant surveillance by government operatives, was nowhere near ready to "attack." -- By direct admission of federal (FBI) goons, one of whom who had successfully "infiltrated" the group and "convinced" them he was an al Qaeda operative.
Amusingly, seemingly apologetic federal thugs even sheepishly opined the "conspiracy" was "more aspirational than operational." Interesting, isn't it? Apparently, the government is more concerned with homegrown terrorist 'wannabes' than bona fide al Qaeda operatives.
... Suggesting the true threat from foreign terrorists may have been deliberately overstated to excuse governmental incompetence and/or malfeasance in issuing visas to the 19 terrorists who committed the 9/11 catastrophe.
...
As well as to support the
continued consolidation of power and evisceration of civil and
constitutional
rights and liberties by the fascist occupying the Oval
Office. --
In the name of "national security," of course.
Fighting
has stepped up considerably
in Afghanistan recently. In the last three months, the United
States
has conducted 340 airstrikes in support of ground forces.
Sadly,
the Taliban now controls nearly one third the
country. It's
resurgence is primarily due to better organization and tactics learned
from the war in Iraq. -- Sadly, what has turned out to be a
perfect
training ground for terrorists.
There
is now consensus in the
U.S. scientific community the world is the hottest it's been in 400
years.
They also believe humans are directly responsible.
Outrageously
corrupt and abusive
"prosecutors" across the country don't have enough power,
--
according to seven fascists
sitting on the U.S. Supreme Court. Now, they'll get even
more.
Before this decision, the burden of proof was on prosecutors to prove a
defendant was not coerced into committing a crime by another
individual.
From this point on, the burden will be on the defendant.
Nothing was learned from the Patty Hearst fiasco some thirty years ago. Seven Neanderthals on the Supreme Court have absolutely no understanding of the fact victims coerced into committing crimes by highly abusive and manipulative criminals do not always have the wherewithal to resist such pressure. Hearst was the first example in history to shed light on the problem.
Our
exceptionally fascist Supreme
Court, however, is turning back the clock. Re-writing history
and
"legislating" its perverse ideology and "religious" views from the
bench.
Dixon vs. The United States is indeed a case in
point. Once
again, the Court has disgraced itself and abrogated its oath of office
to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
Not surprisingly, Republican fascists in the Senate successfully scuttled two war resolutions sponsored by Democrats. Democrats continue to bicker over the "President's" Iraq War policy. They cannot agree on immediate timely withdrawal in an orderly fashion. Most, however, want Mr. Bush to announce the beginning of the removal of troops. Needless to say, both resolutions failed.
The status quo will remain unchanged for the moment. That is, our best and brightest will continue to be killed and maimed for nothing more than the sad political cowardly ass of their "Commander In Chief." Indeed, Mr. Bush has no exit strategy. No specific benchmark for "success" and withdrawal.
"Stay
the course" means nothing
will change, other than the casualty count, until the United States is
eventually forced to leave with its tail between its legs.
...
As happened over thirty years ago in Vietnam. The only ones
to benefit?
American war contractors, -- particularly, Halliburton.
Sadly, the bodies of Pfc.'s Kristian Manchaca and Thomas Tucker were found booby trapped and mutilated last night. Reportedly, newly-appointed al Qaeda Iraq commander Abu Hanza al-Muhajir personally tortured and killed both American servicemen.
Apparently, al-Muhajir, also known as al-Masri, was determined to send U.S. authorities and the "President" an extremely clear and pointed message. -- The brutally barbaric practices of his recently slain predecessor will continue unabated. Also, the war will go on despite the killing of the former leader of al Qaeda in Iraq by an F-16.
Sadly, terror and torture have become an equalizing force in modern times. Tactics that are tragically all too effective. Faced with the best-trained, best equipped, and most-motivated army in history, insurgents know they would surely lose in direct combat with American forces. Instead, they effectively engage in guerilla warfare, -- hit and run. Cunningly, wait for their enemy to make a mistake.
As sadly happened last Friday night, when insurgents lured two American Humvees away from a check point. -- Leaving three soldiers behind. One was immediately killed. The other two kidnapped, tortured, mutilated, and killed. -- The substance of the story immediately released soon after the troops were abducted.
Now, military authorities are cowardly backing off without offering any explanation. Clearly, there are not enough American troops in Iraq to effectively occupy and pacify the country. Never have been. Yet, the fascist in the Oval Office supposedly intends to "stay the course" and leave troops needlessly in harm's way for his own immediate political purposes.
Saddest of all, however, the "President" will announce withdrawal plans before fall midterms. He'll have no choice. Otherwise, the Republicans will lose their asses in both Houses of Congress. As apparently already happening, Iraq commander Gen. Casey is being pressured by the "Administration" to agree to troop reductions in the near future.
The
"President," however, and
his henchmen are too damned cowardly to honestly and candidly lay their
cards on the table. Instead, American servicemen and women
will continue
to pay the price for the cowardice of their "Commander In
Chief."
How many more will be needlessly killed and maimed until the American
public
finally wakes up?
Misinformation and paranoia run rampant in our formerly great country. See news coverage over the last few days? The focus on the supposed, planned, called-off cyanide attack on the New York subway system back in 2003?
According to Ron Suskind, author of The One Percent Doctrine, the planned al Qaeda attack was waved off by bin Laden top henchman Ayman al-Zawahiri some 45 days before it was to occur. Suskind offers no proof. The Bush "Administration" and FBI refuse to confirm or deny. Some intelligence experts question the veracity of the claim.
Yet, this issue has received countless hours of news exposure. Democratic New York Sen. Chuck Schumer has even gone so far as to use it as a convenient excuse to lambaste the Homeland Security Department for reducing spending on "security" in Manhattan. ... Got to get your share of the loot, right, Chucky?
The most important point of Suskind's book was cleverly ignored, however. The Bush "Administration," through a policy decision made by "Vice President" "Slick Dick" Cheney, has implemented "The One Percent Doctrine" or what has also become known as the "Cheney Doctrine."
That is, the federal government will respond and react with all power, force, and resources at its disposal to any "threat" that has a 1% chance of occurrence. Not only is this extremely expensive and ineffective, it also exponentially increases the chance the government will likely be effectively paralyzed should any real threat materialize.
At
the same time, the "President"
continues to consolidate power and effectively abrogate civil and
constitutional
rights and liberties in the name of "national security."
Using secrecy
to cover the outrageously unconstitutional actions of his
"Administration."
-- While the aggressively stupid public cowers in fear and allows the
fascist
occupying the Oval Office and his henchmen to do as they please.
