Working
definition of fascism
for new readers? An abusive and dangerous oligarchy based on a

perversion
and bastardization of religion.

Limbaugh Plea Deal April 28, 2006
Under investigation two and a half years for prescription drug abuse, radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh finally agreed to a plea bargain and was arrested in Florida Friday on one charge of prescription fraud. Imagine that.
An admitted addict, Mr. Limbaugh agreed to 18 months of supervised treatment and $30,000 reimbursement of government investigative costs. Should he remain clean, the one sole charge against him will be dropped. Convenient, isn't it?
Prosecutorial special treatment afforded Limbaugh is proof positive money indeed buys the rich and famous freedom from prosecution and loss of liberty. -- Rush is a junkie. No better than an addict addicted to crack, heroin, or methamphetamine. Yet, his treatment by law enforcement and prosecutors is far, far different than that afforded to street drug users. Why?
A self-righteous "conservative," Mr. Limbaugh has publicly and repeatedly called for tough treatment of drug offenders. Repeatedly demanded and championed stiff prison sentences. Why wasn't he robustly obliged by prosecutors in his case?
When caught doctor shopping and abusing prescription painkillers, he was all too quick to shirk responsibility, hire a high-powered attorney to challenge the investigation through "junk" litigation and appeals, and successfully extort special treatment from law enforcement and prosecutors. Hypocritically, so.
... Don't do as I do, do as I say, right, Rush? Highly likely he never would have admitted an addiction without the enormous pressure brought against him. Both legal and political. To say nothing of the commercial ramifications had he not.
Limbaugh should have been prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, yet received a free pass. ... What better poster boy for drug prohibition than Limbaugh's smiling mug shot? Indeed, perversely put ole' Tom DeLay to shame. Regardless, his extremely loyal following will likely, nevertheless, strongly object to his meaningless arrest and plea agreement.
... While calling for continued stiff treatment of non-prescription drug offenders. In Nazi America. Where day is night, night is day, and manure smells perversely sweet. -- 'Ain't" hypocrisy grand?
Remember the Austin Police officer videotaped beating the hell out of Ramon Hernandez while his hands were cuffed behind his back and his face in a fire ant mound? As reported earlier, Officer Christopher Gray was exonerated by a jury on a misdemeanor charge of official oppression. The Austin Police Department has nonetheless suspended the officer 70 days without pay for using excessive force. Interesting, isn't it?
Excessive
force is criminal assault.
Yet, criminally abusive officers are nearly never convicted in our
formerly
great country. Of anything.
This one clearly wasn't.
Certainly hope Mr. Hernandez finds himself a good attorney and sues the
living shit out of "Officer" Gray, the Austin Police Department, and
the
City of Austin. ... Sadly, the only way to bring an end to
such criminal
behavior on the part of outrageously corrupt and abusive police.
Earlier this week, FOX News commentator Tony Snow was appointed presidential press secretary, replacing Scott McClellan. No question, the "President" has brilliantly selected an articulate, well-spoken, affable Right Wing "conservative" to be his mouthpiece.
FOX News has been a long-term supporter and shill for Mr. Bush and the GOP. While claiming to be "Fair and Balanced," this "news" organization is indeed Right Wing and fascist. Amusingly so much so, Snow himself has recently criticized the "President" sharply for his failed leadership and nose-diving poll numbers. ... Tough, isn't it?
Be interesting to see how well Snow bites his tongue and deftly plays the press briefing propaganda game. Clearly, the "President" and his fascist compadres fear coming midterm elections. As well they should. There is the strong possibility hopelessly directionless Democrats may indeed find themselves and re-take the House.
Should
that happen, the "President"
could be impeached for his attack against Iraq executed under false
pretenses,
as well as warrantless domestic spying. Can only hope
so. No
question, the "President" and his henchmen have eviscerated the Fourth,
Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments. Yet, have not been held
responsible.
In Nazi America. Where day is night, night
is day, and manure
smells perversely sweet.
