"President" Believes He's Above Torture Law January 14, 2006

As the "President" frequently does when forced to sign legislation he does not like, he adds caveats to the legislation he signs.  ... Caveats, he cleverly includes to give him wiggle room in not obeying or enforcing the law.  Latest case in point?  The recent signing of a defense appropriations bill that contained an amendment including proscriptions against torture and abuse of "detainees."

The "President" remarked he will enforce the stipulation if it does not go against his powers as "Commander In Chief" to protect the American people against attack.  Imagine that.  Our Nazi "President" does not have the power to selectively enforce laws and should be immediately impeached if American personnel are found to torture or abuse "detainees" for whatever the reason.

Numerous Hellfire missiles fired from several American drones killed 18 Pakistani civilians, including men, women, and children.  The Bush "Administration" was desperately trying to kill bin Laden's second in command, Ayman al Zawahiri.  Pakistani intelligence officials claim he was not killed, however, and Pakistan quickly and formally lodged a protest with the American government.  Public demonstrations by outraged Pakistanis were immediate and aggressive.

Since the Predators were flown by CIA operatives and not the military, the United States has had no immediate public reaction, and it is expected the fiasco will be handled through diplomatic channels.  Once again, the "President" has launched an attack with no declaration of war, resulting in the deaths of innocent civilians.

... An aggressively stupid mistake, since the Pakistani military dictator's power is shaky at best.  "Strong man" Pervez Musharef is in no position to put down a rebellion.  This will makes things far more difficult for the junta ruling the country, -- a country that is clearly anti-American and unstable at best.  Foolishly, Mr. Bush has once again figuratively shot himself in the ass.

Think the killings will improve the image of the United States in Pakistan or any other Moslem country?  Think it will reinforce Pakistan's position as a "partner in the war against terror?"  Put yourself in the place of the Pakistanis.  After 18 innocent people are killed by the United States, who do you think they will view as a terrorist?  Bin Laden, -- or George, "The Tush?"

Thirty to seventy thousand innocent Iraqis have been killed by U.S. military action since Iraq was invaded under false pretenses by Mr. Bush.  Again, who do you think Iraqis think is the terrorist?  Saddam, -- or the "President?"

Eighty percent of the Iraqi public wants the United States to immediately end its occupation.  Another 45% think its okay to kill American soldiers.  Again, who do they believe to be the terrorist?  The lesser of two evils?  Precisely, why the Bush "Administration" has lost the war.

In his Saturday morning radio address, Mr. Bush pressured the Senate to quickly confirm Supreme Court nominee "Judge" Samuel A. Alito, claiming all Americans "know" the "judge" fully answered all questions and is qualified.  ... Is that right, George?

Once again, the "President" shamelessly lied to the American people.  Alito cleverly stonewalled all abortion and Executive power questions, having been well-coached by Republicans prior to the hearing.

The "judge" is bona fide fascist, who if given the opportunity, will turn back the clock decades to a time women were butchered in back ally abortion mills and police had carte blanche to abuse citizens at whim.

Alito will likely affirm the right of a Nazi "President" to do as he pleases regarding the invasion of privacy of innocent citizens with no court supervision.  As a sitting "jurist," he clearly has a history of increasing Executive power at the expense of civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Also, he would likely rule in favor of the "President" having the power to invade Iran or anywhere else he chooses without additional congressional action or approval.  ... In direct violation of congressional war-making powers.

Sadly, Mr. Alito is no friend of those suffering discrimination, usually ruling in favor of government.  No question, he is a tireless ally of the business community at the expense of workers and consumers.  He will join Scalia and Thomas, "legislating" his perverse ideology and religious beliefs from the bench after confirmation. In Nazi America.

Heavily-criticized Democrats, intimidated by tears shed by "Judge" Alito's wife Martha yesterday, cowardly backed off from pointed questioning of the "President's" outrageously fascist nominee for the Supreme Court.

Not one of these cowardly bastards should be returned to office.  Not one.  An all-Republican, glaringly fascist Congress would indeed wake up an aggressively stupid public forcing change, or more likely, a revolution.

Alito's judicial cronies were allowed to testify for the nominee in direct violation of judicial ethical requirements.  ... After all, each "judge" may one day have a case in front of Mr. Alito.  Equally unethical, at least one Republican fascist sitting on the Judiciary Committee coached the nominee before his hearing.

The hearing was a sham, carefully orchestrated by ten Republican Nazis sitting on the Judiciary Committee, bolstered by eight cowardly Democrats who did not even have the decency to walk out of the hearing when Alito repeatedly refused to fully and responsively answer all questions.  In Nazi America.

After hours of particularly contentious skewering of her husband, Alito's wife briefly left the hearing room in tears.  Questioning of the Supreme Court nominee's earlier activities years ago in a Princeton alumni group indirectly elicited the strong emotional response from the "judge's" wife, -- as Alito himself was disingenuously consoled, stroked, and comforted by a fascist Republican member of the Judiciary Committee.

The alumni association was outrageously bigoted against women and minorities.  In fairness, Alito is not a racist in the mold of the KKK.  -- A Ku Klux Klan racist is easy to confront and expose as a prejudiced bigot.  A Klan bigot has the courage and supreme Aryan arrogance to readily expose his racism, and publicly extols it.  Pathetically, so.

A closet bigot, however,  who cleverly and cowardly hides behind the "conservative" label, is far more difficult to expose to the light of day.  Especially, a smooth well-educated nominee who indeed is a master of sophistry and abuse of semantics.

As a "judge," Alito has repeatedly demonstrated bias against women, minorities, civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Conversely, he has been a tireless proponent of business and increased consolidated power of the Executive Branch.  At the expense, of course, of individual rights and liberties.  Oppressive government and business are always championed by the fascist.  Everything and everyone else comes second.

During present hearings, Alito has refused to acknowledge Roe v. Wade is settled law, -- unlike recently confirmed Chief "Justice" John Roberts.  Furthermore, Alito callously and cowardly refused to state whether or not women have a constitutional right to an abortion.  Despite the fact he has repeatedly written they do not.

He has continuously refused to be pinned down regarding his views on the right to an abortion, as well as the limits of Executive power. He will not do so because he knows quite well he would not, and should not, be confirmed.

Despite his wife's emotional brief departure from the hearing room, which may have been no more than a clever act, questioning has not been sufficiently pointed and probing.  Democrats owe it to constituents to walk out of the hearing when the nominee repeatedly refuses to responsively and fully answer all questions.

The people indeed have a right to know precisely what a judge's personal bias is before he or she is seated on the bench.  After all, there is no such thing as "impartiality."  Scalia, Thomas, and the late Chief "Justice" are proof positive.

All three have repeatedly "legislated" their perverse ideology and religious views from the bench.  If seated, Alito will do the same, abrogating whatever little is left of progress made forty years ago in civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Essentially, driving the last nail into the coffin.

Fascists desperately demand a return to the figurative sociological "cave."  Where women are subservient to men, are butchered in backroom abortion mills, and police have carte blanche to terrorize and abuse the innocent as well as the guilty at whim. ... The regurgitation of the fascist third degree, so prized by Hitler and Mussolini.

If the "culture war," that is, the war against the Fascist Right is not won, a second American Revolution will become inevitable.  Reproductive rights are not negotiable.  Neither are civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Creation of a bastardized "Christian" theocracy in direct violation of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment is intolerable.  So is a judiciary staffed by bona fide fascists who have no respect or regard for civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

As the Founders courageously and wisely stated in the Declaration of Independence:

"--That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

Those brave and brilliantly defiant words still ring true nearly 230 years after originally written.  They were at the heart of the struggle for freedom back then as they are today.  The Founders must indeed be spinning in their graves at how eviscerated and bastardized their vision of the future has cruelly become.  Nazi America.  Where day is night, night is day, and manure smells perversely sweet.

In a deliberate, contrived attempt to stifle increasing criticism of his Iraq War policies, the "President" now pointedly claims war critics give aid and comfort to the enemy.  Unable to convince the public of his failed policies, Mr. Bush now gutlessly and pathetically blames the messenger for the message, that is, disclosing the sad, dirty truth.  ... Tough, isn't it?

Those of us alive forty years ago remember the same old tired BS and clever distortion of reality by an earlier Republican President during a similarly failed war in Southeast Asia.  When will the American people finally wake up and call for the impeachment of a glaringly fascist "President" who has outrageously abused his power and deliberately deceived the public, going to war under false pretenses?

Not only is the "President" intercepting phone calls and emails without a warrant, he is now attacking the First Amendment right of his opponents to criticize his policies.  In Nazi America.  Where day is night, night is day, and manure smells perversely sweet.

Senate Judiciary Committee hearings for the nomination of "Judge" Samuel A. Alito to the United States Supreme Court began yesterday with the usual partisan posturing, shameless use of sophistry, and abuse of semantics.

Today, questioning began in earnest with Alito cleverly and slickly avoiding answering the most pointed questions regarding reproductive rights, Presidential abuse of authority, Affirmative Action, and even the outrageous strip search of a ten-year-old girl with no warrant.

Mr. Alito is a fascist who believes in the pernicious blend of government, business, and bastardized religion, -- "religion" used to perversely "justify" evisceration of civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  The "judge" has worked for decades to strengthen and consolidate the power of centralized government and the Executive Branch in particular.

He was chosen by the "President" because Mr. Bush knows quite well Mr. Alito will "legislate" his perverse ideology and religious beliefs from the bench.  Otherwise, the "President" would have selected a far more moderate candidate for the High Court.

Years ago, good ole' boy Alito was a member of a Princeton alumni group that worked to keep minorities and women out of this ivy league school.  Yet, the "judge" conveniently claims to have no memory of his activities at that time.  Interesting, isn't it?  Certainly, not out of line with his concerted attack on civil and constitutional rights and liberties during his long career.

If Democrats do not filibuster this fascist in sheep's clothing, they should not be returned to office.  Alito will clearly become the swing vote on the Court, and years of progress will likely be reversed as he gets the chance to impose his perverse beliefs on the rest of us.  In Nazi America.
