"President" Trumpets Iraq Election   October 15, 2005

The "President," shamelessly patting himself on the back, lost no time extolling the relatively non-violent Iraq constitutional referendum during his Saturday morning radio address.  Insurgents cunningly laid low as they did earlier last January during the election of an interim assembly.

Sadly, the enemy is exceptionally shrewd and cunningly adaptable.  Knows full well killing Iraqi voters in mass would have been disastrous and extremely counter productive.  No matter the results of today's referendum, however, the insurgency sadly remains, and the violence will undoubtedly continue.

The "Administration" and its shills disingenuously made dire predictions of violence against Iraqi voters last January.  -- To cover their ass if things went severely south at the time.  Happily, their predictions never materialized.  ... Including, the fact there were no reported ink-stained fingers cut off by insurgents in retaliation.  Thankfully, so.

Amusingly, Mr. Bush and his henchmen again resorted to similar phony propaganda techniques prior to today's referendum.  Fortunately, their propagandized worst fears did not materialize.  Once again, the "Administration" has been duped, doped, one-upped, by an extremely cunning enemy.

Would indeed be laughable, -- if not for the fact nearly 2,000 U.S. military personnel have been killed so far, and approximately 15,000 maimed.  ... Victims of an unprovoked unjust war, launched under false pretenses for self-serving political purposes.

Interestingly, the "Administration" has repeatedly and falsely made the prediction the insurgency would decline as the democratic process progressed in Iraq.  Simply, untrue.  In fact, the direct opposite occurred, i.e. there have been an increasing number of attacks since the election last January.

Ironically and giving the lie to the "President's" false theory and phony public facade, intelligence analysts and high level "Administration" officials are now privately contesting the theory.  -- Know it's blatantly untrue.

Highly unlikely U.S. troop levels will remain as high as they are now.  -- Regardless, of the Iraqi political situation, or level of violence.  Domestic political realities will kick in as U.S. midterms quickly approach.

Even high level "Administration" officials are already quietly preparing a politically correct rationale for disengagement.  Why wait?  Why risk further casualties and needless American deaths?  Declare victory and withdraw.  Do it now.

Interestingly and recently, they repeatedly shrewdly publicly acknowledge the military alone cannot win the fight against insurgents without political stability and full cooperation of the Iraqis themselves.  Including, taking over security operations.

At best, Iraqi performance has been abysmal the last two and a half years since the invasion.
Most important of all, midterms are coming, -- and the GOP is in a quandary with Congressional and "Presidential" poll numbers in the toilet.

With extremely rare exception since 1945, principle and honor no longer dictate government policy.  Political expediency and enrichment of defense contractors, sadly, do.

DWI Zero Tolerance In Washington, DC   October 14, 2005

Annie Cefaretti was recently stopped in Washington, DC by police.  Probable cause?  Apparently, illegal use of a cell phone while driving.  Didn't receive a ticket for the offense, however.  Was never even questioned about it.  Clearly on a fishing expedition seeking far bigger fish to fry, the officer cunningly asked if she had been drinking.

She admitted to one glass of white wine, -- two hours earlier at dinner and blew a .04 on a Breathalyzer.  In Washington, DC, people are hauled to jail after blowing a .02.  Zero tolerance.

Interestingly, Mothers Against Drunk Driving CEO Charles Hurley claims MADD is for responsible drinking, not zero tolerance.  He believes police went too far.  Fascinating, isn't it?

Sadly, Cefaretti made two critical mistakes.  First, she voluntarily provided police information that was subsequently used against her by a deranged officer.  Second, she blew a Breathalyzer.  Both, foolishly self-incriminating.

"Cooperation" with police does not mean self-incrimination.  It means not resisting or evading arrest.  Willing, knowing self-incrimination is stupid.  Since when do you ever see a government official or corporate executive willingly take "personal responsibility" for any crimes they commit?

They fight back like hell.  Exactly, as former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay is doing against Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle.  See the blatantly self-serving political ads now running against Earle?  Hear about the subpoena issued Earle by DeLay's attorney?

Think you'll ever see ole' Tom bend over, drop drawers, grab ankles, and beg for an ungreased shaft from the District Attorney?  Only when hopelessly cornered does a high official capitulate and agree to a plea bargain.  ... And only if the pot is truly sweet and there is no choice.

This is not, however, to support drunken or impaired driving.  Not so.  Rather it's an indictment of chickensh-t law enforcement by deranged, overzealous, and/or corrupt and abusive law enforcement.  In Nazi America.

"President" Promises Troops No Iraq Withdrawal    October 13, 2005

In an extremely well-choreographed teleconference with carefully selected troops in Iraq, the "President" promised there would be no retreat under his watch.  Once again, the "President" made a promise he had no constitutional authority to make. Fascinating, isn't it?

Congress, not the "Chief Executive," controls military spending.  If Congress wisely wakes up and ties the purse strings, Mr. Bush would be forced to withdraw.  Impossible?  Think again.  Midterms are quickly approaching and public support for the GOP is currently dropping like a rock.

... For an increasing number of reasons, such as the war, $3 gas, unlimited spending, investigation of high level Republican Congressional and "Administration" officials, evisceration of civil and constitutional rights and liberties, abortion rights, opposition to Supreme Court nominees, skyrocketing health care costs, and numerous other nagging issues.

Republican partisans are no longer comfortable.  Nor should they be.  Especially, with the "President" and legislators suffering record low poll numbers, and approximately only 28% of the public believing the country to be on the right track.  Interestingly, only 2% of blacks support the "President."  ... That's right, 2%.

Forced withdrawal from Iraq is not unthinkable, certainly not unprecedented.  History could indeed repeat itself as it did thirty years ago in Vietnam.  At that time, Congress finally wised up and forced withdrawal from a war that had been ill-advised, initiated and prosecuted under false pretenses, and clearly unwinnable.  -- Much the same as the current fiasco in Iraq.

Should Congress remove all funding prior to conclusion of his "Administration," the "President" could always do what's honorable and resign in protest.

Sadly, the well-choreographed "Presidential" teleconference included providing soldiers, carefully pre-selected by commanders, advance notice of specific questions to be asked.  ... A well-oiled propaganda machine, Adolph Hitler or Joseph Stalin would have been proud of.

The "Administration" disingenuously billed the teleconference as "spontaneous" to reporters asked to attend.  Laughably, it was not.  -- Raw feed came into the networks showing Assistant Secretary of Defense Allison Barber coaching soldiers in a practice session before show time.  At show time, soldiers' responses were nearly verbatim.

Sadly, nearly everything about this "President" is phony and staged.  Did he really believe details behind this carefully orchestrated teleconference would not be leaked and publicly disclosed?  Is he so Aryan arrogant or aggressively stupid he doesn't care?  Or, more likely, does he shrewdly believe his Fascist Right base to be so stupid they wouldn't notice or care?  -- To say nothing of his enemies.

Tragically, however, the "President," military personnel, and the public were truly ill-served by the phony "dog and pony show."  ... He heard exactly what he desperately wanted to hear, -- a phony upbeat report from well-coached troops, certainly not the truth.  Then again, in Nazi America, day is night, night is day, and manure smells perversely sweet.  ... Just as the Fascist Right demands.

The "President" has truly become the Wizard of Oz.  -- As he pathetically and desperately exhorts the aggressively stupid body politic not to watch the increasingly strange, sad, sick, twisted soul behind the curtain.

"President" Pushes Miers' Religious Views    October 12, 2005

In direct reversal of "Administration" policy earlier embraced during the Roberts confirmation process, "President" Bush today discussed and promulgated the religious views of Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers.  -- To appease strong growing opposition by his fascist base.  Interesting, isn't it?  'Ain't' hypocrisy grand?

Mr. Bush disingenuously claims he has no litmus test regarding abortion rights views of judicial nominees.  Sadly, the "President" is demonstrably a liar.  As opposition grows to Miers, he now conveniently stresses his nominee is a member of an extremely "conservative" evangelical church that strongly opposes abortion. Surprise, surprise.  He did this for one reason and one reason only, -- to quell rising opposition by the Fascist Right to a candidate they fear will not rescind Roe v. Wade.  Tough, isn't it?

When Democrats pressed his last nominee, John Roberts, the "President" and his Republican compadres fervently pontificated any questioning of his religious views and position on abortion would be improper and off limits.  Can't have it both ways, guys.  What's "appropriate" for one nomination is just as "appropriate" for another.  Can't move the goal posts when it's convenient, boys.

Bush claims any good judge will supposedly be "impartial" and supposedly not allow personal views to interfere with proper judicial conduct.  The "President" is disingenuous and worse, a liar.  He wants things both ways.

He appoints nominees he knows to be pro-life, and then falsely claims they will not allow their personal religious and ideological views to interfere with judicial behavior and judgments.  Not possible.  Those views always influence judicial conduct.  Always.  No matter how hard a "judge" may try.

The "President" also knows on hot button issues such as abortion, a fascist evangelical "Christian" judicial nominee will be strongly pressured, no matter what, to rescind Roe v. Wade.  Precisely, what the Nazi occupying the Oval Office desperately wants and intends.

If "judges" were truly capable of "impartiality," the "President" could just as easily nominated someone in the Center or Left with no dire consequences to the "Chief Executive's" ideology.  He did not.  Why?  ... Simply, because there is no such thing as "impartiality."

"Judges" are always subject to, and affected by, their views and beliefs.  Always.  No matter how hard they may try to divorce those views from judicial activities and judgments.  Some don't even bother to try, -- such as Rehnquist, Scalia, Thomas, and other members of the Fascist Right.

Precisely, why the "President" recently nominated two additional bona fide fascists to the Supreme Court.  He does not, however, have the guts to admit the truth.  Instead, he plays the same game his father did during the Clarence Thomas nomination, and Clinton during the Ginsberg fiasco.  The same old tired BS no matter the political party.

The abortion issue is crucial to the principle of liberty.  Should women lose the right to do with their uterus as they damn well please, i.e. reproductive freedom, it will be time for a repeat of 1776.

Democrats had better finally wake up.  Republicans and their Fascist Right base are waging an extremely successful political war against civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Doing so brilliantly.  A political war that may eventually turn into a bloody revolution as rights and liberties continue to be abrogated.

Capitulation by Democrats on Roberts and Miers, at the very least, could cost them dearly politically for decades.  Permanently, if the Court winds up rescinding Roe.  Sadly, not only are abortion rights at stake, but all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  ... As the Right desperately attempts to force its perverse views and beliefs on the rest of us.  In Nazi America.

"President" Under Enormous Stress    October 12, 2005

Carefully watch the "President" recently?  See the nearly continuous blinking, eye shifting, lip licking, inappropriate smiling, uncomfortably long pauses as he searches for a word?  Especially, noticeable as ole' George "The Tush" was interviewed yesterday by Matt Lauer on the Today Show.

Clearly, the stress is taking its toll on the "President."  Things are not going well.  Constant blinking and eye shifting is usually indicative of people anxious to avoid answering, -- or blatantly lying.  Any police investigator will tell you that.  It's a part of their training.

Interestingly, there are increasingly frequent reports coming from the White House that the "President" is growing testier at meetings, -- and using profanity.  Amusingly, when leaving from vacation at his ranch, he was asked by a reporter if he was fleeing war protesters camped near his property.  Reportedly, he sarcastically replied he was going to see "goddamned" Katrina damage.

Recently, he may have amusingly flipped reporters the bird.  Tough, isn't it?  While anyone can swear and be irritatingly testy as this writer amusingly knows full well from personal experience, the stress is clearly getting to the "President."

Certainly, hope not, however.  After all, we could get much, much worse.  -- Imagine life in this country under President "Slick Dick" Cheney?  ... Although both bona fide fascists, amusingly, Cheney's got the brains Bush's seriously lacking.  Making him far, far more dangerous.  Some even think he's already running the country, -- and has been.

Equal Protection Denied    October 11, 2005

Apparently, equal protection and freedom of religion mean little to nothing to the fascists ensconced on the Supreme Court, -- unless, of course, you're Judeo-Christian in your beliefs.  A Wiccan was denied permission by government authorities in Chesterfield County, Virginia to lead invocations at public gatherings. Why?

Not surprisingly, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear her appeal.  Amusingly, a clearly Judeo-Christian Court has no problem ignoring the Establishment Clause prescribing church-state separation, -- as long as politically correct Judeo-Christian principles and beliefs are at stake.  Wiccans, however, need not apply to the High Court for relief.  Literally, they will not be heard.

The First Amendment wisely guarantees freedom of religion, -- as well as freedom from it via the Establishment Clause, i.e. church-state separation.  If public officials are going to rightfully allow invocations at public gatherings (and they should,) there must be no discrimination against any religion, be it Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Wicca, Hinduism, or any other religion.  -- Despicably, including Satanism, provided no violence is preached.

No particular religion is afforded special consideration, protection, or preference by the Constitution.  None.  There are no preferences.  Nor should there be.  Moreover, the Constitution protects expression of all religious and spiritual beliefs,  -- as well as those who have none.  Also protects all citizens against having those beliefs forced on them by others.

There should be no objection to public invocations provided all religions and spiritual beliefs are allowed and encouraged to participate.  Why not hear what all belief systems have to say?  If non-violent and in most cases loving, what they think and express is no threat.

It widens vision and expands thought.  Precisely, why the Fascist Right is so opposed and intolerant of views other than its own.  Sadly, its self-imposed blinders and tunnel vision are deliberately and cleverly designed to restrict all creative thought processes.

Exactly, why the Right perceives only in terms of black and white.  No shades of gray.  No brilliant hues of color.  Right is right.  Wrong is wrong.  ... And only the fascists in control are supposedly capable of dictating to the rest of us, which is which.

Examples?  Abortion rights, gay rights, blue laws, smoking and alcohol issues, child rearing involving use of corporal punishment, capital punishment, civil and constitutional rights and liberties, etc..  Sadly, the list can go on and on.

Returning to public invocations, allow all religions to participate, or allow none.  One can't pick and choose, unless, of course, you're one of the fascists sitting on the Supreme Court.
... Fascists, more than willing to "legislate" their perverse views and beliefs from the bench, forcing them on the rest of us.

Sadly and ominously, the Court is well on its way to establishing a Judeo-Christian theocracy.  In direct violation of the First Amendment.  In Nazi America.  Foolishly ignoring the possibility of a day in which Judeo-Christian beliefs may no longer hold such strong sway.  Or worse, intolerantly get the boot from a future majority believing otherwise.

Such intolerance then would clearly have its roots in fascist intolerance currently in vogue.  What then?  Precisely, why the Founders provided the First Amendment including the Establishment Clause.  An Amendment currently viciously attacked by Aryan arrogant fascist "Christians" today.  Would indeed be laughable if not so terribly tragic, -- when it finally comes back to bite them hard on the ass.

Bush Builds House    October 11, 2005

Symbolism over substance?  You decide.  To date, the "President" has made eight trips to hurricane-stricken areas.  This time, to erect a house with Habitat For Humanity.  Interesting, isn't it?  At a time of $3 gas and record deficits, Mr. Bush continuously makes photo-op trips at taxpayer expense.  -- Self-servingly, to repair poll numbers hitting record lows.

... Hey, George?  Think swinging a hammer at a photo-op will successfully pull the wool over the eyes of all of us?  Wake up, Mr. "President."  Your ignorance is unbecoming.  The money squandered to finance all eight political trips, including security, could more than paid for several new homes.  Instead, it was wasted on self-serving photo-ops.

The federal cost of re-building will likely be as much as $300 billion.  Yet, the "President" will leave details of how that money will be spent to state and local officials.  ... Officials who failed to adequately manage their resources before and after Katrina.  Fascinating, isn't it?  -- A perverse interpretation of states rights at best.

Enormous money will likely be squandered in areas prone to the very same damage in the future. Why?  Is short-term political expediency worth the enormous long-term expense?  We'll see.

Interestingly, the government is now making loans to hurricane-stricken areas with "loan forgiveness" clauses removed.  This action was just taken by the "President" and his henchmen in government.  When asked why Iraqis aren't subject to the same consideration, ole' George "The Tush" had no explanation.  Clearly, Iraqis take precedence over American citizens.  Fascinating, isn't it?

New Orleans' "Finest" Batter 64-Year-Old Man    October 10, 2005

See the videotape?  The beating of an elderly black man by New Orleans cops?  Repeated punches to the head and kneeing to the gut?  Left in a pool of blood?  Robert Davis has been charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, and battery against the officers.  Two officers involved in the beating have also been charged with battery.  A third officer who roughed up the television producer in charge of the videotaping was also charged.

Sadly, there isn't a day that passes where someone, somewhere across the country isn't criminally assaulted by a police officer.  -- An epidemic of "legalized" assault by outrageously corrupt and abusive cops.  Seldom is any one of these uniformed thugs charged, never mind convicted.

Sadly, such tolerated criminal activity by police officers during performance of their duties is precisely why so many officers are killed in the line of duty.  BS?  Think again.  Tragically, even more police will needlessly die since there is absolutely no incentive for prosecutors to prosecute abusive officers.  None.  It is this aggressively stupid refusal to prosecute such abusive cops that is directly responsible for many of these terribly needless officer deaths.

District Attorneys and U.S. Attorneys are in bed with the police.  By definition and policy.  After all, they closely depend on law enforcement to investigate and solve crimes that are prosecuted by their offices on a daily basis.

Precisely why, each state must have a special prosecutor whose only duty is to indict and prosecute corrupt and abusive officers.  Similarly, there is a desperate need for federal special prosecutors to do the same.

If corrupt and abusive police are not reined in and permanently removed from the streets, a second American Revolution will sadly become reality.  In Nazi America.  Sadly, many of the thugs who kill police have themselves been criminally assaulted by law enforcement, -- either earlier or at the time of the killing of an officer.

While there is absolutely no justification for the killing of an officer performing his or her duties lawfully, there are "reasons," not excuses, for such intolerable behavior on the part of criminals.  These "reasons," such as earlier abuse and violence perpetrated by police, must be addressed and prosecuted at the time to ensure officers are as safe as possible on the job in the future.  Otherwise and sadly, the number of police killed will increase.

The following is a series of unedited email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and this writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year ago.  To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint filed.  Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues, -- or is wildly incompetent.  You decide.  ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions
