Anti-War Effort Picks Up Steam In Crawford August 16, 2005
In an effort to embarrass "President" Bush, Gold Star mother Cindy Sheehan and her anti-war supporters remain entrenched in Crawford. Mrs. Sheehan, the mother of a soldier killed in action in Iraq last year, has vowed to remain until ole' George "The Tush" agrees to meet with her a second time, -- or ends his vacation. ... Whichever comes first.
The
Fascist Right has excoriated
Sheehan for "desecrating" the "sacrifice" of her dead son.
--
Condescendingly and patronizingly
claim she is being "used" by anti-war groups. Is that
right?
Sadly, grasping at straws, aren't they? Any
excuse to belittle
and undercut her credibility. Desperation, ratcheting up as
public
opinion turns against the "President." ... Tough, isn't it?
Having finally woken up from "Administration" propaganda regarding the Iraq War, however, Sheehan is calling the "President" a liar regarding his reasons for going to war. Sadly, Mrs. Sheehan is doing no more than stating the obvious. ... A truth, fascist shills of the "President" will never accept.
"Administration" officials falsely stated there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Cunningly, massaged the "intelligence" to make their phony case. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld went so far as to falsely claim he knew their exact location. None of it was true. None of it.
A Crawford neighbor of the "President" has offered use of his land to Sheehan and her supporters, closer to Mr. Bush's ranch. ... Can only imagine the reaction of other property owners and Bush shills in the area, no?
Saddest
of all, Sheehan is being
accused of being mentally unbalanced by the Fascist Right.
--
For aggressively questioning
deception and abuse perpetrated by our Nazi Fuhrer.
Mrs. Sheehan's
son, although indeed believing he died for liberty and the American
way,
in fact, was killed covering the "President's" cowardly ass.
Mr. Bush has foolishly created a training ground for terrorists in Iraq. Sadly, after learning to expertly kill and maim American soldiers, they are then exported to Europe and other parts of the world to carry on their murderous activities.
It is time for the United States to wisely withdraw soldiers from Iraq, -- courageous men and women who have become no more than sitting ducks for the enemy. It is time to fight a guerilla war, precisely as the enemy is wisely doing.
Although the Fascist Right has ludicrously repeatedly claimed Clinton eviscerated the military, it is indeed Mr. Bush who is doing irreparable damage. ... Damage that will take decades to remedy. American forces are spread too thin across the world. In Iraq, they still treasonously lack proper body armor, as well as proper armor for their vehicles. Where's the "President?"
National Guard and Reserves are being abused due to serious manpower shortages. Tours extended. People are not allowed to retire, or are being called back from retirement. Troops returning from Iraq suffering grievous injuries and disabilities are not being afforded proper care.
Recruitment is suffering and there will be long-term consequences for the military. Sadly, these exceptionally courageous men and women have been betrayed by their country, -- despite hollow claims of "support" by their fellow countrymen. ... A magnetic yellow ribbon on the back of a car or truck just doesn't make it.
The "President" gutlessly claims immediate withdrawal from Iraq would "send the wrong message to the terrorists." On the contrary, it would finally indicate to the world community the United States is indeed capable of admitting a mistake. It would immediately stop insurgents from learning their craft at the expense of American troops.
It would free these troops to carry on a guerilla campaign against the enemy, rooting out and capturing bin Laden and his high level comrades in Pakistan, and other al Qaeda fighters throughout the world.
Most importantly, the "President" must change American policy in the Middle East to have a snowball's chance of winning the "war against terror." Adopt an even-handed approach to Israel and Palestine. Quickly, force the United States to become energy independent.
... Something which should have occurred thirty years ago, but unconscionably delayed due to the best interests of Big Oil, not the American public. Most importantly, the United States must rescind all support of the exceptionally corrupt and abusive House of Saud, -- the ruling family of Saudi Arabia.
While policy change alone would not end the "war on terror," it would indeed quickly take the wind out of the sails of al Qaeda. Give Arab moderates a chance to force change. Sadly, however, nothing will change with a fascist occupying the Oval Office. Matters will only grow worse.
As with Vietnam, pressured legislators will finally cut off the purse strings and end the war in Iraq. How many more will needlessly die? Covering the ass of the most corrupt and abusive "President" in American history?
[Shortly
after writing the above,
Mrs. Sheehan had to leave Crawford to care for her ailing
mother.
It is not clear if or when she will return.]
Not surprisingly, Austin Police Officer Julie Schroeder was no billed by the Travis County Grand Jury in the Rocha killing back in June. As reported in earlier editions, 18-year-old Daniel Rocha was shot in the back by one of Austin's "Finest."
Clearly, police across the nation carry a badge, a gun, and a license to kill. -- Sadly, as American as Mom and apple pie. Grand juries are run and owned by the district attorney. A Piped Piper. ... A prosecutor can indeed indict a watermelon if he so chooses. -- Doesn't mean the victim of a corrupt and abusive district attorney, however, is guilty.
There is no due process in grand jury proceedings. Defense attorneys are not allowed to cross-examine grand jury witnesses. Grand juries are usually carefully stacked with the community's "Who's Who." ... As they clearly were in the jail-rape fiasco several years ago here in Llano County. Consequently, a district attorney gets exactly the results he or she wants and expects.
The
most dire consequence, however,
of grand juries who coddle and protect murderous police officers is the
kangaroo street "justice" such travesties of justice often
inspire.
Sadly, innocent, law-abiding, truly dedicated officers pay the price
for
their murderous colleagues. In Nazi America.
