Sen. Frist Flip Flops, -- Again July 31, 2005
Republican Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist broke ranks with the "President" on new stem cell line research federal funding. Interesting, isn't it? Frist returned to his original stand on the issue. Apparently, had no choice. Science demands it. So do a growing majority of Americans who clearly understand the benefits.
Stem
cell research proponents
propose already existent embryos, otherwise destined for destruction,
be
used in such research. The Fascist Right is violently
opposed.
Has promised dire political consequences for Frist, -- who is
considering
a run for President in 2008. ... When will mainstream
Republicans
finally break the death grip of the "Religious" Right? Left
unchecked,
the Right will eventually doom the GOP.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair is riding high. Not only are British subjects cowardly accepting the shoot to kill order by London police, the Irish Republican Army has assured Mr. Blair and his master in Washington, "President" Bush, that the IRA will renounce terrorist tactics to remove British rule from Northern Ireland.
This "war" has gone on since 1969 and has been quite bloody for both sides. IRA now claims it will adhere to the rule of law and only pursue "peaceful" means to force change. North Ireland officials are skeptical. After all, the IRA has gone back on its word many times.
More importantly, "rule of law" and "'peaceful' means" assure the status quo will remain unchanged. -- Exactly what England and Irish Protestants desperately want, and Irish Catholics desperately seek to change.
"President" Bush claims such a stand down by the IRA may be "historic." Supporting his lap dog and puppet, Ole' George was quite ebullient in remarks. Why not? After all, what we have here is one fascist supporting another.
Mr. Bush seems to have conveniently forgotten American history. ... Had the Founders followed the "rule of law" and pursued only "peaceful" means of change, the American Revolution would never have occurred and we'd still be British subjects.
Mr.
Blair is moving further and
further to the right, now seeking 90-day "detention" of all "terrorist"
"suspects" without charges. Interesting, isn't it?
Both countries
are eviscerating civil and constitutional rights and liberties in the
name
of "security." ... Treasonously giving the enemy a victory it
could
never have achieved on the battlefield.
Bombs exploded in Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt over the weekend killing at least 88 people, injuring many others. Suicide bombings killed many more in Iraq and elsewhere. Yet, the Fascist Right claims we're "winning the war on terror." -- Distortion of reality that would indeed be laughable if people weren't dying.
Bottom line? Don't confuse a Nazi with the truth, he's too damned stupid and narrow minded. Outrageous sarcasm aside, the only way the war on terror will be won is by changing American policy in the Middle East. An even-handed approach to the Israeli-Palestinian issue must be adopted. The U.S. must stop unlimited support of the corrupt and abusive House of Saud in Saudi Arabia.
Most importantly, the United States must become energy independent and remove all troops from Islamic territory. Sadly, despite strong assertions to the contrary by the "President" and Mr. Blair, the key implacable perception in the Islamic world is that the United States and the supposed "Coalition of the Willing" are waging a "crusade" against Moslems.
That perception is reinforced daily by the occupation of Iraq. While such desperately needed changes in policy are required and would quickly take the air out of Moslem support for al Qaeda and its ilk, die-hard terrorist extremists will still have to be rooted out, one by one, and killed or captured by U.S. forces.
Mindless, rigid, Aryan arrogant Bush "Administration" policies, however, guarantee the war will rage on for decades and be ultimately lost. In fact, the "President" is foolishly fostering recruitment of a new generation of terrorists who are more than willing to kill.
... Sadly supported by many in the Islamic community who see no other way to force change. Until that perception is altered, there will be no military solution. Just more pointless death and destruction.
Amusingly, the Right views Islamic militants as "neo-fascists." No question, they're right. Islamic radicals have indeed taken fascism to the extreme. The kettle calling the pot, -- black, however.
... Especially, since what the Rights sees, fears, and despises most in Islamic militants is exactly what the Right itself will become if unchecked, unchallenged by those in the Center and Left.
Sadly, the Fascist Right in our formerly great country and Islamic terrorists are two sides of the same convoluted coin. ... Each desperate to impose its perverse ideology and "religious" views on others far less radical, far less receptive.
The Right believes the threat so great, civil and constitutional liberties and rights should be obliterated to "protect" the American people. This is no more than a convenient, naked, blatant attempt to impose a fascist police state.
If the American people succumb to such "thinking" and gutlessly acquiesce, they don't deserve to survive. After all, they've treasonously given the enemy a victory it never could have achieved on the battlefield.
Worse,
they've betrayed millions
of military personnel who've selflessly sacrificed on bloody
battlefields
to secure the liberties and rights our gutless population is so willing
to forfeit. As Franklin wisely asserted over two hundred
years ago,
anyone willing to give up liberty for security deserves and winds up
with
neither.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair hollowly "apologized" for the Menezes killing last week at the hands of London police. Mr. Blair, hypocritically hedging his bets, pointed out police would have been skewered had they not acted if Menezes had in fact been a bomber and successfully set off off an explosion.
... Nothing quite like defending the indefensible, right, Tony? Clearly, the ends justify the means to the fascists in England, -- as they do in the United States. The Prime Minister asserted the shoot to kill order remains in effect, despite the Menezes murder by police.
England is now embracing Israeli policy, -- where all bomb "suspects" are shot in the head by police goons. ... To forestall bomb detonation. No problem until the "suspect" turns out not to be a "terrorist." As in the Menezes case. According to fascists, a "risk we'll have to take." Will we?
Should
that policy be implemented
here in the United States, time for revolution. After all, it
is
unconstitutional for police to become judge, jury, and
executioner.
As Franklin wisely asserted over two hundred years ago, anyone willing
to trade liberty for "security" deserves and winds up with
neither.
Sadly, his prophecy is well on its way to fruition. In
Nazi America.
