Working
definition of fascism
for new readers? An abusive and dangerous oligarchy based on a
pernicious
blend of government, big business, and religion. ... A boot-heel
cynically
placed on the throat of the masses, justified in principle by
perversion
and bastardization of religion.

Harry Potter "Threatens" "Christianity" July 15, 2005
The revered late Pope praised the Harry Potter series of books as teaching kids right from wrong, good from evil. John Paul II was quite right. They did.
Pope Benedict XVI, however, has quite the opposite view. Along with other "Christians," believes it teaches impressionable young minds "witchcraft," promotes "pagan ideas," and "poisons" them.
... So does fascism preached by fundamentalists, Padre. Life in a Hitler Youth Group has profoundly affected your judgment, hasn't it? ... Get a life, Benny.
Sarcasm aside, why are "Christians" so threatened by Harry Potter? More importantly, why so intimidated by any religion, spirituality, or philosophy not based on Christian principles?
If secure in faith, how can your principles be threatened by any system of thought? That afraid of change? Of growth?
Are self-serving "Christians" terrified because they've conveniently bastardized and eviscerated the principles of their founder two thousand years ago?
Is that reason for profound insecurity, rigidity, and intolerance of all other views and beliefs?
Why they perceive things in black or white? No shades of gray? No hues of brilliant color?
Respectfully, the current Pope would be well advised to be far more concerned about the exceptionally pervasive, universally embraced, fervent systemic creation of a "God" in the image of perverse men, rather than the Creator.
-- Men who fervently and haughtily preached incredibly un-Christian practices such as the stoning of adulterers, prostitutes, and gays as perversely prescribed by Moses in Leviticus.
"But it's in the Bible," some may whine, "so it has to be right, doesn't it?" ... Does it?
How, why, would an all loving all powerful father, not only allow, but insist a blameless son be horribly tortured and killed via the most brutal method of execution of its time, -- crucifixion? For offenses committed by other family members?
Why would an all powerful, all loving, fully complete Creator petulantly and cruelly require tortuous "redemption" by the truly innocent for the horrendously guilty?
For what end? Self-serving, pathetically shallow petulance and "vindication?" Rings hollow.
A perverse human, vindictive, vengeful, achingly short-sighted "father", however, would and could quite conceivably condone and participate in such atrocious activity. Not an all loving and all powerful Creator.
Sadly, perversely ill men, biblical writers, have cunningly created a "God" in their own sick, twisted, vindictive image.
How better control and manipulate the aggressively stupid and cowardly masses than inflict torture, mercilessly kill, and shrewdly terrorize through fire and brimstone? Must have made Satan blush, no?
The Creator this writer believes in is not vindictive, petty, or petulant. Doesn't have to be. Would never unjustly require the truly innocent to bear the burden for the hopelessly guilty.
... Unlike perversely ill, power hungry corrupt and abusive men who falsely preach "personal responsibility" while laughing their financially portly asses off all the way to the bank.

Giving thanks on bended knee
each Sunday to the Creator for their good fortune,
after shamelessly
and aggressively shafting anyone who gets in their way. ...
The "Christian"
thing to do, no doubt.
Not surprisingly, key "Presidential" political adviser and Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove has been identified as Time Magazine reporter Matt Cooper's source in a Cooper email. Rove's attorney had no choice but to confirm it.
Cooper and jailed New York Times reporter Judith Miller have been on the hot seat quite some time for not disclosing their sources to "prosecutors" and a grand jury investigating the illegal disclosure by a government official of a CIA agent's identity.
According to Cooper, Rove supposedly gave him permission to disclose his identity as confidential source. Miller, however, remains jailed for refusing to name her source in the very same case.
Syndicated political columnist Robert Novak, "conservative" shill and mouthpiece for the Bush "Administration", treasonously disclosed the identity of the CIA agent in an earlier column two years ago, compromising her effectiveness, placing her in great danger, and effectively ending her career as a spook.
Yet, he has apparently been protected by "prosecutors" and has not, to date, been pressured or forced to disclose the identity of his source. Why? Since the original disclosure was made in Novak's column, "prosecutors" should have gone after Novak first, -- before putting the screws to Cooper and Miller. Why are they conveniently protecting a Bush media crony?
The
White House is gutlessly stonewalling
all information requests on the Rove fiasco,
--
supposedly at the request
of "prosecutors." ... While Miller remains jailed.
... And
Rove remains free to disclose other classified information since his
security
clearance has yet to be changed, -- despite the
fiasco.
... Despite the fact the White House has repeatedly claimed, for the last two years, Rove had nothing to do with the illegal "outing" of the CIA agent. ... Done for political purposes as payback for strong criticism by the CIA agent's husband, Joseph Wilson, of the Bush "Administration's" handling of the weapons of mass destruction fiasco in Iraq.
Democrats smell blood in the water, and are calling for Rove's head. Rightfully, so. It is also quite true had it been a Democratic administration in power, there would already have been congressional investigations into the Rove fiasco by the Republican Congress.
The hypocrisy is stunning, isn't it? Especially, after fervent GOP pontificating of Democrat corruption and abuses during and after the 1994 Republican "Revolution." Remember? -- The Contract On America?
More ominously, the jailing of a reporter is a deliberate attack on the First Amendment and freedom of the press.
It conveniently occurs when corrupt and abusive "prosecutors" and "judges" desperately seek to silence hard-hitting, incisive investigative reporting, as in the Miller case.
Should a reporter gutlessly disclose the identity of a source, no one in the future will come forward with critical information. Investigative reporting dies on the vine, exactly what "prosecutors" desperately want.
Corrupt and abusive officials are conveniently protected. Most important of all, outrageously corrupt and abusive bastards in government are not brought to justice and remain free to continue their crimes and abuse.
Apparently,
the White House press
corps has finally found some small measure of courage,
--
after four and a half years
of the Bush "Administration." Daily press briefings have
become remarkably
caustic and increasingly aggressive as "Presidential" Press Secretary
Scott
McClellan continues to stonewall all questions regarding the Rove
fiasco.
To date, the supposedly "liberal" media have previously given Mr. Bush a virtual free ride on a number of issues. Apparently, things are finally changing. About time.
In carefully crafted remarks presented at the FBI Academy to graduating soon-to-be agents, "President" Bush claimed the recent terrorist attack in London is an "attack on the civilized world." ... Is that right, Mr. "President?"
-- Hey, George? Precisely, how pristinely "civilized" was the "civilized world" when the "Coalition of the Willing" "pre-emptively" attacked Iraq under false pretenses? After WMD inspectors could find none, and did not believe there were any?
The "President" went on to claim the fight in Iraq is about "liberty" and preserving our "values." ... Is that right, George? How can it be "liberty" when you and your henchmen have eviscerated civil and constitutional rights and liberties here at home?
-- Through passage of outrageously unconstitutional statutes such as the USA "Patriot" Act, Homeland "Security" Act, "Real" ID Act, etc., and other equally unconstitutional Executive Orders?
What
"values" are we preserving,
Mr. "President?" Fascist principles, sir? How can
you hypocritically
preach "liberty" and "democracy" in Iraq when we live in a country that
is increasingly turning into a fascist police state?
The
following is a series of unedited
email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and
this
writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year
ago.
To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been
received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint
filed.
Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues,
-- or is wildly incompetent. You decide. ACLU-Criminal
