London Terrorist Attack   July 7, 2005

In a horrendous terrorist attack this morning in London, over 45 people have been killed and reportedly more than 700 injured.  At the time of this writing, apparently four terrorist explosions occurred.  -- Three underground in the subway system, and one onboard a double-decker bus.

Although not yet clear, it is likely the attacks are the work of Islamic terrorists.  Al Qaeda and its affiliates are already hailing the carnage.  A somber British Prime Minister Tony Blair, in stark contrast to unbridled ebullience yesterday after London was awarded the 2012 Olympic Games, condemned the attacks, labeled them barbaric, and immediately returned to London from his trip to the G-8 summit in Scotland.

Enormous hand-wringing in England and the United States immediately ensued subsequent to these latest attacks. What did they expect?  How could it be otherwise?  Did both countries really expect al Qaeda not to viciously fight back after Mr. Bush's and Mr. Blair's "pre-emptive", unprovoked attack against Iraq under false pretenses?  Did they really expect the enemy to roll over?

Terrorist attacks are indeed horrendous, cruel, and barbaric.  Sadly, however, they work.  Precisely, why the United States itself and its allies saturation-bombed Nazi Germany.
-- Deliberately, killing civilians.  Tens of thousands were firebombed and killed one night alone in Dresden.  Approximately, 150,000 "innocent" civilians were immediately killed in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  Thousands and thousands more after the fact.

Sadly, all's fair in war.  Has been so for decades, -- despite the Geneva Conventions agreed to after World War I.  The United States, however, did the right thing in the Second World War regarding use of atomic weapons and conventional saturation bombing.  Did what it had to do to win.  Again, terror works.  It ended the Second World War long before it would have otherwise ended.  For the U.S. to now condemn terrorist tactics is exceptionally hypocritical.

Terrorists, however, have taken despicable but enormously effective tactics to a new much deadlier level.  They claim there are no "innocent" civilians.  Any citizen under any circumstances is a "legitimate" target.  ... Unlike extremely judicious use of terror by the United States during the Second World War.

Tragically, the parameters of war have viciously changed.  Drastically, so.  Sadly, this is a new reality that must be combated.  Instead, we wring our hands and bemoan an enemy who refuses to fight "fairly."  -- According to our standards.  From their viewpoint, why should they? Why would they?

Sadly, al Qaeda is brilliantly using terrorist tactics against the U.S. and our allies.  Tragically, to their great advantage.  ... Much harder to stomach, however, when its directed against us, isn't it?  Again, what did we expect?  What better tactics to employ when faced with a force far superior, far better equipped, far better trained?  From their viewpoint, why foolishly fight conventionally when you have absolutely no chance?

Worse, we created this Islamic terrorist  monster.  Did so foolishly.  For years, we callously and deliberately ignored growing unrest in the Muslim world.  ... Unrest and hatred that had been brewing for decades directly due to our unevenhanded approach to the Israeli-Palestinian issue, and our aggressively stupid blind support of the outrageously corrupt and abusive House of Saud in Saudi Arabia.  -- Where even members of royalty can, and have, had their heads chopped off by a state executioner.  For "crimes" as petty as adultery.

Both aforementioned American policy issues are directly responsible for the 9/11 catastrophe.  That is not to excuse the carnage, however.  It is to state the truth we Americans refuse to acknowledge.  Immediate attention to both issues would quickly take wind out of the terrorists' sails.

Would reduce Muslim support for terrorism worldwide should the United States re-visit its policies.  Regardless, terrorist die-hards would still have to be rooted out and killed or captured.  One by one.  But the situation would immediately improve.  Can't have that, can we?  After all, it would require courage to admit mistakes were indeed made.

Our aggressively stupid "President" wants no such review of policy.  Why?  Consequently, the war will go on indefinitely and likely be lost.  Especially, since Mr. Bush insists on wasting precious military assets, forcing our troops to remain sitting ducks as an occupying force in Iraq.  Picked off one by one by a determined enemy.  -- Rather, than engage the enemy in a guerilla war whenever and wherever necessary worldwide, carefully using precious military resources to best advantage.

Instead, the United States mindlessly insists on imposing a democracy in Iraq, while essentially and effectively ignoring the capture or killing of the mastermind of 9/11, bin Laden.  While democracy in Iraq is most desirable, it will not end the war against terror.  Sadly, only exacerbate the situation, and further inflame and motivate the enemy.  Iraq has already needlessly become the training ground of newly-recruited terrorists, determined to remove American occupiers.  Tragically, killing and maiming as many as they can in the process.

The only long-term permanent solution is revision of American policy in the Middle East, removal of all support to the House of Saud, and energy independence.  With a fascist "President and his shills securely ensconced in the White House and Congress, there is a snowball's chance.  After all, Big Oil will never allow energy independence until the American public has been looted to the max and all oil is finally gone.  Pumped dry.

How else can it shamelessly financially bleed the American public to death with exponentially increasing fuel prices not justified by circumstances and demand over such a remarkably short period of time?  ... No more than months.

Mr. Bush, sadly, still does not "get it."  Lamely after the London attack, the "President" compared and contrasted high and mighty G-8 attempts to reduce world poverty with the latest barbaric terrorist attack.  Mr. Bush inexplicably believes a few crumbs and a bone or two thrown to the world's "have-nots" will somehow correct long-term injustice in the Middle East.  Wake up, sir.  Your ignorance and detachment from reality are stunningly appalling.

Worse, our fascist Aryan arrogant "President" has repeatedly declared the U.S. supposedly has the "duty to lead the world."  Adolph Hitler couldn't have said it better.  Sadly, our home-grown Fuhrer believes his own BS.  The world does not seek a "leader."  It certainly does not want to be dictated to by an ignorant dolt.

The "President" apparently embraces an exceptionally distorted megalomaniacal view of the world.  Precisely, why the United States is so resented, despised, -- and rightfully feared.  Mr. Bush falsely touts liberty abroad, while cunningly eviscerating it here.  Already, Nazis in our formerly great country are using the latest attacks in London as an excuse to call for renewal of the USA "Patriot" Act and "Patriot" Act II.

This outrageously unconstitutional Act and others, along with equally unconstitutional Executive Orders, have treasonously given the enemy a victory it could never have achieved on the battlefield, -- the evisceration of civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  In Nazi America.

The "President's" exceptionally short-sighted view of "taking the battle to the enemy" in Iraq has wasted precious military assets and unintentionally created the perfect training ground for terrorists.  Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair have falsely claimed we're fighting in Iraq so we don't have to fight at home.

The latest terrorist attacks in London belie this claim and prove both men are remarkably naive.  Chillingly, there was no warning the latest attacks were about to occur.  ... Also, demonstrably belying the claim "intelligence" is "improving."  -- And the enemy is supposedly "on its last legs."

Worse, the unprovoked "pre-emptive" war in Iraq is draining money that would be far better spent strengthening border security in the United States.

Sadly, our borders are no better than a sieve.  Reportedly, approximately 250,000 illegals crossed into our country during the first five months of 2005 alone according to the Border Patrol.

The Coast Guard is desperately in need of new planes and ships.  Most of their fleet is well over thirty years old and is constantly breaking down.  While the "President" mindlessly and treasonously wastes money in Iraq, he is forcing the Coast Guard to make do with what they have, and intends to re-equip them over the next twenty years.

Little has been done to improve ship cargo inspections, rail, and bus security.  ... While Homeland "Security" officials have been more than content to illegally create databases on ordinary American citizens, egregiously and wantonly violating privacy in the process.

After all, it wasn't American citizens who were responsible for the 9/11 catastrophe, but American "security" and "intelligence" officials who were caught napping on the job.  Now, we're all paying the price, however, through enactment of statutes that were deliberately designed to eviscerate civil and constitutional rights and liberties, -- sickeningly and falsely, in the name of "national security."

... Statutes such as the USA "Patriot" Act, Homeland "Security" Act, "Real" ID Act, etc., and other equally unconstitutional Executive Orders by the "President."  All cowardly and treasonously imposed.  All giving the enemy a victory it could never have achieved on the battlefield.

-- While our cowardly "President" and his equally fascist shills and supporters stupidly whistle past the graveyard.  ... Laughing their financially portly asses off all the way to the bank, -- after properly giving thanks on bended knee each Sunday to the Creator.  ... For their good fortune.

Who in their right mind can say terror does not work?  First, the enemy has already been remarkably successful in obliterating the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments right here in the United States, courtesy of a gutless and fascist "President" and Congress.

Second, the train bombings in Madrid successfully led to Spain's withdrawal from "Coalition" forces in Iraq.

Third, while the British indeed have a stiff upper lip and are remarkably resolute, think continued terrorist bombings on a relatively low level, as in the latest London terrorist attacks, won't have a permanent long-term effect on British politics?

Reporter Jailed   July 6, 2005

New York Times reporter Judith Miller has been jailed for refusing to disclose the identity of a source.  -- Will likely remain imprisoned until October when the grand jury session expires.  This jailing is a deliberate attack on the First Amendment and freedom of the press.

It conveniently occurs when corrupt and abusive "prosecutors" and "judges" desperately seek to silence hard-hitting, incisive investigative reporting.

Should a reporter disclose the identity of a source, no one in the future will come forward with critical information.  Investigative reporting dies on the vine.  Corrupt and abusive officials are protected.  Most important of all, they are not brought to justice.

In the Miller case, the "prosecutor" is Patrick Fitzgerald.  The "judge" is Thomas Hogan.  Both have violated their oaths of office to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution, and should be immediately removed from office.  Instead, they'll likely be perversely hailed as "heroes."

Despite assertions to the contrary by the Fascist Right, freedom of the press is protected by the First Amendment.  For a fascist "prosecutor" and "judge" to interpret the Constitution otherwise is appalling.  Once again, a Right Wing "jurist" has "legislated" his perverse views from the bench.

In a directly related matter, Time Magazine reporter Matt Cooper agreed to disclose the identity of his source and testify before the grand jury.  He claims his source has released him from the obligation to protect his or her identity.

The jailing of a reporter for refusing to disclose the identity of a source is further indication we are indeed living in a fascist police state.  It is no exaggeration to say Ms. Miller is a political prisoner of war.  -- A war waged by the Right on civil and constitutional rights and liberties.
... In Nazi America.

Irony of ironies?  Syndicated columnist Robert Novak, the "conservative" shill of the "President," remains untouched by "prosecutors" and the "judge" in this case.  ... Despite the fact it was Mr. Novak who treasonously disclosed the name of the CIA official in his column,
-- launching the investigation that resulted in the jailing of Ms. Miller for refusing to identify her source.  Only in Nazi America.

ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions

The following is a series of unedited email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and this writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year ago.  To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint filed.  Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues, -- or is wildly incompetent.  You decide.  ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions
