This publication has been in suspension since March 2003 for reasons fully explained on the Home Page.  Much has happened in the United States, as well as the rest of the world, since the last edition.  ... Sadly, most of it disturbing.  Until return to online publication, the format will remain as follows.    T.C. May 16, 2005

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-16-05).

Working definition of fascism for new readers? An abusive and dangerous oligarchy based on a pernicious blend of government, big business, and religion. ... A boot-heel cynically placed on the throat of the masses, justified in principle by perversion and bastardization of religion.

Bolton Nomination Passed On Without Recommendation   May 12, 2005

The Bush "Administration" suffered a body blow as John Bolton's nomination as U.N. Ambassador was passed on to the full Senate without recommendation.  -- Directly due to Republican Sen. George Voinovich's opposition.  Tough, isn't it?

... Initially, Voinovich did not intend to vote to pass on the nomination, but was heavily pressured by his party and the "President."  -- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice amusingly assured the Senator she would "closely supervise" Mr. Bolton.  Keep a tight leash.

... Hey, Condie?  Why in hell would you and George "The Tush" send someone to represent the U.S. who has to be tightly controlled?  Makes no sense, Madam Secretary.

Bolton is a bully.  Unfit as a manager.  Has no respect, no regard for the UN as an institution.
... As most Right Wing fascists.  His presence there will be no more than an insult to the world community.  Exactly, what the Right expects, wants, and seeks.

After all, the "conservative" element in our formerly great country perversely believes abject alienation of the world community supposedly strengthens American power and influence.

-- Sadly, too aggressively stupid to comprehend the exact opposite has indeed occurred over the last 60 years.  ... Aryan arrogance at its worst.  Precisely, why we're so hated and despised abroad.

The "President", however, cunningly plans to have Bolton lead the charge against Iran, deceptively manipulate world opinion and hopefully generate support for another unprovoked "pre-emptive" attack.  ... Bush's next target after the Iraq fiasco.

Who better than Bolton to deceive the world body?  Truly, a master in deception and false manipulation.  Indeed, a man willing to bulldoze anyone to impose his will, and that of our fascist "President" and his henchmen.  Hitler would have indeed been proud.

Earlier, Bolton masterfully pressured intelligence agencies to manufacture and produce false "intelligence" supportive of Bush's "pre-emptive" attack against Iraq.  Apparently, our "President" wants history repeated in Iran.

Be interesting to see if additional Republicans courageously defect as heated debate commences in the full Senate.  Once again, the "President" has disgraced himself, and perversely telegraphed his true intentions for all to see.

Yet, the American public is too stupid to understand.  Amusingly, the dopes have again been duped.

Washington False Alarm Scare   May 11, 2005

Terrorists must have been laughing their asses off as they watched Congressional, Supreme Court, and White House personnel fleeing for their lives at noon Wednesday in Washington.

A wayward Cessna had entered restricted air space and flew within 3 miles of the White House before intercepted by scrambled F-16 fighters.  -- Seems the radio on the Cessna was not working.

The incident created quite a scare for approximately 15 minutes until an all-clear was sounded.  There were problems, however.  The State Department was not evacuated.  Neither was the Pentagon.  A warning system installed in the White House after 9/11 was not activated.

Also, the "President", cycling in Maryland, was not informed until 47 minutes after the fiasco concluded.  There were other problems, unanswered questions, and timeline discrepancies,
-- indicating the nation's seat of power may not be as prepared for attack as they would have us believe.

United Airlines Employees & Retirees Screwed   May 11, 2005

A bankruptcy "judge" has conveniently allowed United Airlines to renege on pension benefits for employees and retirees.  ... Who will consequently, only receive a fraction of funds owed them.  Ultimately, taxpayers will wind up footing the bill.  ... Tough, isn't it?

Other corporations will undoubtedly follow suit, screwing their employees of retirement funds that could, and should, have been protected.

Yet, no one will be prosecuted.  -- "Personal responsibility" is conveniently reserved for the unwashed masses.  Certainly, not greedy and/or inept management.  In fact, they're protected and coddled by government.  In Nazi America.

Suspect Eric Richard Wolfe Dead   May 10, 2005

Eric Richard Wolfe, the alleged killer of Llano County Deputy Andy Taylor, died at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin of an alleged self-inflicted gunshot to the head.

Llano County Deputy Andy Taylor Dead  May 9, 2005

Tragically, Llano County Deputy Andy Taylor died this evening.  A terrible, terrible loss of life.  Earlier in the day, the reported shooter, Eric Richard Wolfe, was discovered in Tow at a primitive campsite.  Before officers could apprehend him, however, he apparently shot himself in the head.  Was transported to Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, and is reportedly breathing on his own.  Wolfe's brother and girlfriend are in custody in the Llano County Jail.

Llano County Deputy Andy Taylor Shot  May 8, 2005

Sadly, Llano County Deputy Andy Taylor was shot in the head Sunday evening during a routine traffic stop, reportedly by Kingsland resident Eric Richard Wolfe.  Deputy Taylor remains in Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, in critical condition.  A massive manhunt for Wolfe is currently underway.

Father Thomas Reese Gets Boot   May 8, 2005

Father Thomas Reese, S.J. was reportedly forced to resign as Editor-In-Chief of the Jesuit magazine America by Pope Benedict XVI.  Interesting, isn't it?  The Jesuits are the scholars and intellectuals of the Church.  ... As anyone, a product of Jesuit education, knows full well.

Jesuits, indeed, are profound thinkers, philosophers.  Don't go along to get along.  Boldly, think and express their ideas.  Often to the chagrin of Rome.  Tough, isn't it?  Precisely, why he got the boot.

Reese openly expressed his thoughts both in his magazine and other media.  Frequently.  Was not afraid to confront deeply controversial issues such as birth control, abortion, etc..

Apparently, too "progressive" and/or "liberal" for the personal taste of a reactionary Pope.  "Reactionary," -- a bit too kind, however, since the Pope, formerly Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, was a Hitler Youth member as a kid, and then a soldier in the Nazi Army during the Second World War.

Certainly, Mr. Ratzinger received extensive training in fascist principles and ideology as a young man in Nazi Germany.  ... One thing for sure, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?  Clearly, the newly-elected, apparently fascist Pope has little regard for free speech and expression.  And no tolerance for dissent.  Be interesting to see how this will ultimately affect his flock in the United States.

Sadly, the "principles" defended by the Pope and his predecessor bear little resemblance to the teachings of the founder of Christianity two thousand years ago.  -- Man-made "principles", cleverly designed and manufactured over the last two millennia to dictate, manipulate, and control the masses.

Precisely, why fascists are so opposed to free thought, progress, and liberty.  Indeed, stalwarts of "progressive" and "liberal" thought.  Can't have that, can we?  Might "threaten" the established order and status quo, unpleasantly rock the proverbial boat.

The Pope took the unusual step of disingenuously and hypocritically warning the media to be more "responsible."  ... Hey, Joey?  Follow your own advice, sir.  Fascism masked by the pomp and circumstance of the papacy is unbecoming, "Father."

ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions

The following is a series of unedited email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and this writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year ago.  To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint filed.  Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues, -- or is wildly incompetent.  You decide.  ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions
