Life Without Parole Passes Texas Senate April 14, 2005
Remarkably,
the Texas Senate finally
passed legislation that will afford jurors the right to impose life
without
parole, or death, in capital cases. ... The option of life
with parole
after 40 years has been removed by this exceptionally timely
bill.
It moves on to the House, however, where its fate is
uncertain. After
all, the bi-partisan fascists in the House are concerned the
legislation
will lead to abolition of the death penalty. Tough, isn't
it?
How else will these Nazis get their pound of flesh?
A bankruptcy bill cleverly designed to exquisitely stick it to those bankrupted by medical debt, divorce, or loss of employment has passed the U.S. House, already passed by the Senate last week. The "President" will quickly sign this bill into law that will only benefit credit card companies and other financial institutions. Certainly, not the people victimized by it. ... Then again the masses "can eat cake," right?
Fascists in both Houses of Congress are determined to blend the power of government with that of business to loot and overpower those least able to resist. It's called fascism. Instead of rolling back extremely high interest rates that at one time would have been considered loansharking, and outlawing outrageous "service charges" that amount to no more than legalized extortion, our Democrat and Republican legislators have joined forces to royally shaft the middle class. Deliberate, unabashed class warfare.
The credit card business earned record high profits last year, reportedly in excess of $30 billion. -- Charging record-high interest rates and "service charges" second to none. Giving credit cards to people who had no business having them. These outrageously corrupt and abusive corporations are in about as much need of relief as Bill Gates or Michael Dell.
Only 3% of bankruptcies are abusive, that is, where deadbeats deliberately run up credit expenditures and then declare bankruptcy, -- with the idea of shirking financial responsibility. Again, 3%. Most are due to medical debt, divorce, or loss of employment. Conveniently, ignored by the fascist element in both Houses of Congress.
Currently, 70% of all bankruptcies are Ch. 7, where assets are liquidated and remaining debt forgiven. Thirty percent are Ch. 13, where debt is re-structured and a re-payment plan instituted. With this new bill, however, the reverse will occur.
That is, if you are unfortunate enough to have no health insurance and run up massive medical debt, you will pay it back the rest of your life, -- provided you earn over median state income.
-- So, if you're a little guy and owe hundreds of thousands or more, you're screwed.
... For the rest of your life.
-- While greedy healthcare providers and institutions laugh their exceptionally portly asses off all the way to the bank.
... As you re-pay these bastards $3 each for a goddamned aspirin.
For those earning over state median income, there will be no Ch. 7 bankruptcy. Not only will medical debts not be forgiven, pray like hell your spouse does not run up thousands of credit card debt in revenge during a divorce. Otherwise, you will be screwed the rest of your life.
Don't ever lose a job. If you do, owe money, and make over state median income, there will be no way out of debt. It will be with you until the day you die. No question, death will likely be a blessing anyway, since you may wind up losing most of what you have, regardless. In Nazi America.
Interestingly, this bill only regulates personal bankruptcy, not business or corporate. "Personal responsibility" is conveniently reserved for the unwashed masses, not the egregiously corrupt and abusive, irresponsible, greedy bastards in business. They get a free ride. At the expense of the people. Sadly, the prosecution of the criminals at the highest echelons of Enron are the exception. Not the rule. Corporation management usually does whatever it wants, -- and gets away with it. Protected by government, conveniently excused by "religion." It's called fascism.
Clearly, the fascists in both major political parties seem to forget what many consider to be the most important passage of the Declaration Of Independence:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
Without question, it not only "is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish" unresponsive government, it is the duty. Sadly, we as a people have grown complacent, passive, no more than slaves to the monster we have created, allowed to master and control us. We have become cowardly and aggressively stupid, willing to foolishly trade liberty for "security" only to deservedly wind up with neither. In Nazi America. ... Where the rich laugh their portly asses off all the way to the bank, -- after properly giving thanks to the Creator every Sunday on bended knee.
That's right. Property appraisals will consequently skyrocket in coming years. The Texas House defeated caps, ensuring property taxes will rise. -- This, in addition to proposed new taxes by Republicans to "solve" the Robin Hood school funding crisis. Guaranteeing the supposedly "conservative" GOP will remain the biggest spender, and grand taxer, of all time. Amusingly, putting the "liberal" Democrats to shame.
The Right is growing so powerful and insidious it arrogantly attempts to dictate "permissible" healthcare and medication. Preposterous? Think again. Not only do physicians on the Right refuse to perform abortions, some will not prescribe birth control or the morning after pill, -- not even for rape victims.
Sadly, outrageous "professional" fascists are too damned aggressively stupid to understand these medications are often prescribed for problems unrelated to birth control or abortion. Then again, never confuse an extremist with the truth.
"Conservative" pharmacists refuse to fill prescriptions for rape victims and others, as well as birth control prescriptions for people they believe too young. In some cases, for others they consider "ineligible", such as unmarried adults.
Regardless, who the hell are licensed healthcare "professionals" to impose their exceptionally perverse views of morality and "religion" on the rest of us? Any healthcare practitioner who refuses to provide legal, lawful care for patients due to "moral" objections should immediately forfeit their license to practice.
After all, a license is not a right, but privilege. ... As repeatedly and fervently claimed by the Right regarding operation of a motor vehicle. Why should professional licensing be viewed any differently? Yet, government is growing increasingly protective of healthcare "professionals" who inflict their perverse "religious" and "moral" views on patients. Protected by statute. This must end.
Any "professional" who has conscientious objections to any lawful procedure or pharmaceutical substance should quickly leave the profession. In disgrace. For the good of the profession, as well as patients.
Such egregiously blatant examples of fascism must be aggressively challenged and fought. Otherwise and soon, the only "freedom" or "liberty" left in this once great country will be the "right" to do do what you're told. In Nazi America.
Foolishly unwilling to capitalize on enormous ecumenical goodwill generated during the late Pope's recent funeral, the Catholic Church is apparently desperate to squander precious spiritual capital. -- On a Church official who enabled pedophile priests for decades.
Bernard Cardinal Law was recently forced to resign as Archbishop of Boston. Law protected and coddled pedophile priests for many, many years, and arrogantly remained at the center of the controversy before finally getting the boot.
For a lifetime of "dedicated" "loyal" "service" to the Church, however, he was promptly rewarded by the late Pope with a cushy high level position in Rome. -- Atrocities against countless victims of sexual abuse by pedophile priests conveniently ignored by John Paul II and millions of recent mourners. ... The very same people who wish to see the late Pope quickly canonized and renamed John Paul The Great. Interesting, isn't it?
Unwilling to leave well enough alone, however, the Church, Aryan arrogantly, allowed Cardinal Law to officiate a requiem service for the late Pope earlier today. Despite strong protest. Why? Does it really believe the problem of pedophile priests and those who enable them will simply disappear? Conveniently, be swept under the rug?
The chickens always come home to roost. The issue of pedophile priests has done great damage to the Church. ... A Church determined to bury the problem, rather than aggressively expose it to the light of day. Think the head honcho 2000 years ago would have approved? ... Of egregious Church indifference to the atrocities of pedophile priests?
