Congressional Republicans Interfere In Schiavo Case   March 18, 2005

Congressional Republicans issued subpoenas in the middle of the night to stop doctors from removing a feeding tube from severely brain-damaged Terri Schiavo.  According to medical opinion, Ms. Schiavo is hopelessly brain-damaged and permanently a vegetable.  Michael Schiavo, her husband, has repeatedly claimed his wife had earlier verbally stated she would not have wanted to be kept alive under such conditions.  Who would?  Her family, however, is strongly opposed to removing the feeding tube.

Ms. Schiavo has remained in her present condition for approximately the last fifteen years.  Her husband and family have been locked in legal combat for quite some time.  At least seven years.  -- Proof positive of the critical need of a living will.

This case is exceptionally sad, heartrending.  Courts, however, have rightfully and repeatedly ruled the views and wishes of a spouse have legal priority over that of family under such horrendous conditions.  The Fascist Right, though, is intensely uncomfortable with the right to die issue presented by these unfortunate circumstances.

Curiously, they have no problems with legalized murder such as state-sponsored executions.  No qualms about an incompetent, inept, amoral "President" who went to war in Iraq under false pretenses and has the blood of tens of thousands on his hands.  No second thoughts about corrupt and abusive law enforcement officers who murder unarmed civilians, falsely invoking the principle of "self defense" in all too many cases.  Deafeningly silent regarding these issues and others.

Yet, these fascists arrogantly seek and demand the "right" to dictate to women what they can and cannot do with their uterus, Aryan arrogantly deny citizens the right to die as in the Schiavo case.  This time, however, unabashed Republican Nazis are doing this via improper use of congressional subpoena power.  ... Who'd a' 'thunk' it?

Amusingly, Congressional Republicans have subpoenaed not only Mr. Schiavo and two doctors, but the severely brain-damaged woman herself.  Sadly, grandstanding at its very worst.  These Nazi bastards couldn't care less about Schiavo.  It's no more than an exceptionally perverse opportunity to spotlight the GOP "right to life" agenda.  ... Shrewdly and cunningly substituting a hopelessly brain-damaged adult for the unborn.  In a remarkably heartless attempt to cynically rekindle the abortion debate.

The Congress is again putting its nose where it doesn't belong.  As it did recently by holding a Congressional witch hunt regarding use of steroids in baseball.  These outrageous Nazis would better serve the people had they held hearings about the continuing carnage in Iraq, the "Administration" policy of "rendition" where "detainees" are shipped to other countries to be abused and tortured during "interrogation,", excessive use of force by corrupt and abusive police, etc..  The list can go on, and on, and on.  Yet, Republican fascists are far more interested in abrogating constitutional rights and liberties.

Republicans disingenuously label removal of the feeding tube "barbaric."  ... Hey, guys?  Wake up.  Want to see barbarism at its worst?  Pointedly, remove your heads from a bodily orifice seldom seeing the light of day, and take a careful close look at executions and the fiasco in Iraq.  Abject barbarism, fervently conducted with your perverse and amoral "blessing."  In the name of the people.  Sickest of all?  -- Piously claiming it's "God's will."  Hopelessly ill, egregiously diabolical sons of bitches.

The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear the Schiavo case earlier in the week.  Amusingly, Republican House and Senate leaders now think they know better, -- despite the fact the entire fiasco is a states rights matter.  ... Supposedly, an issue championed by the GOP.  -- A GOP that supposedly wants to get intrusive government out of the lives of people.  What a crock.

Now, conveniently rejecting states rights, hypocritical fascists shamelessly invoke federal power to reverse "unacceptable" state court decisions.  ... While howling bloody murder and bemoaning loss of states rights consequent to Roe v. Wade and legalization of abortion 32 years ago.  Can't have it both ways, boys.

Remarkably, the initial food tube removal order was issued five years ago, but repeatedly stayed by legal maneuvering craftily designed to forestall implementation and the right to die.  Whatever the hell happened to personal freedom and the right to choose?  Free of government intrusion and the Fascist Right?

On March 18, the judge rightfully refused to honor disingenuous Congressional subpoenas, and ordered the feeding tube removed.  Again.  An emergency appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court by Republican Congressional fascists was quickly denied by the highest court of the land.  Republicans will spend the weekend crafting unconstitutional legislation to keep Schiavo alive.  ... Legislation likely to be thrown out by the courts, as was Florida state legislation earlier.

When will self-righteous hypocritical Republican Nazi bastards finally allow this woman to die in peace?  Amusingly, they openly embrace a sickeningly perverse "culture of life" agenda that does not extend to executions and unjust immoral war initiated under false pretenses in Iraq.  Why?

The Right is sadly morally bankrupt, that is, without morals.  Not immoral, but amoral.
... Not that Democrats are any better.  -- They've remained deafeningly silent during this entire fiasco, too damned cowardly to stand up for what's right.  In Nazi America.  ... Where day is night, night is day, and manure smells perversely sweet.

Iranian Realtors Released   March 17, 2005

Four Iranian realtors from California "detained" the last three and a half years were recently released.  -- Falsely imprisoned by the Bush "Administration" without access to attorneys and the courts.  Why?  For attending a rally for Iranian exiles in the late 1990's.  Some eight years ago.

Would have been released a few days earlier had they agreed to forfeit First Amendment rights to free assembly.  ... Seems our fascist government was desperate to keep them from communicating and/or associating with Iranian exiles.  -- Who'd a' 'thunk' it?  In Nazi America.

Scott Peterson Sentenced To Death   March 16, 2005

Not surprisingly, Scott Peterson was formally sentenced to death, request for a new trial denied.  Peterson had earlier been convicted of murdering his pregnant wife, Laci.  ... Primarily on the basis of testimony from Amber Frey, prosecution star witness and woman with whom Peterson had an affair.

Frey's testimony clearly indicated Scott was indeed a cad and sad excuse for a husband.  It provided no evidence, however, he murdered his wife.  Additionally, no physical evidence was ever presented by prosecutors proving he was indeed the killer.  None.  No blood.  No DNA.  No prints.  Nothing.

Although prosecutors did not meet their burden of proof, they were brilliantly successful in cunningly manipulating the jury to extrapolate an extramarital affair to murder.  Interesting, isn't it?  Frightening, as well, since it makes it far easier for corrupt and abusive prosecutors and police to convict innocent citizens of crimes they did not commit.

While fascists heartily and mindlessly cheered the conviction, and now the death sentence, they conveniently ignore the principle the accused must be convicted on the basis of evidence, not extrapolation of untoward behavior to a capital crime.  Although highly likely Peterson indeed committed the murder, there was, and is, no proof as required by law and the Constitution.

Again, Peterson was convicted on basis of a giant faulty leap of "logic":  that is, if he had an extramarital affair and displayed highly erratic behavior in response to the murder of his pregnant wife as he clearly did, he must be guilty of the crime.  Utter nonsense.

Disturbingly, Peterson did not seem well-served by counsel.  Opening statement promises were never delivered.  Worse, other avenues and possibilities were not explored or addressed at trial.  -- Such as a non-family acquaintance earlier discovered and confronted by Lacy in her home who subsequently threatened her after being confronted.  ... A person who might indeed have murdered her in retaliation.  Sadly, we'll never know.

In light of stunning absence of any physical evidence linking him to the crime as well as glaring lack of credible compelling circumstantial evidence, however, Peterson's conviction is a travesty of justice, whether or not he's guilty.  Why?  Again, we're supposed to be a nation of law and constitutional principle, not a government of men.  Remember?

Frankly, it used to be considered un-American to convict someone simply because we "think" or "believe" he's guilty.  We must have proof, beyond a reasonable doubt.  Anything less is kangaroo justice, worthy of a fascist police state. Not the United States.

Can only wonder how many additional innocent citizens will subsequently be conveniently convicted of crimes they did not commit.  -- By inept and/or corrupt and abusive prosecutors and police.  ... More interested in another notch on the belt than conviction of the truly guilty.  In Nazi America.  ... Where a cowardly gutless public foolishly, willingly, and eagerly trades liberty and constitutional rights for "security."  Deserving and winding up with neither.

While the Right mindlessly applauds the Peterson conviction and eventual execution, certainly hope and pray that none of them, their loved ones, or any other innocent citizen is unjustly convicted and murdered by the state in the name of its bloodthirsty citizenry.

Robert Blake Exonerated   March 16, 2005

Actor Robert Blake was found not guilty of murdering his wife, Bonnie, four years ago.  Acquitted, as well, of one charge of solicitation of murder.  A second solicitation charge was thrown out by the judge after the jury hung 11-1 in favor of acquittal.  -- The one hold out didn't like rough treatment afforded the prosecution solicitation witness during trial.  ... Tough, isn't it?

Derision aside, the prosecution had no case.  No physical evidence.  Both solicitation witnesses were non-credible to the jury.  ... Had apparently been "bribed" by prosecutors and/or police to provide testimony.  The District Attorney should never have brought charges under the circumstances.  -- Not a shred of physical evidence, and a circumstantial case just as weak.

The verdict does not mean, however, Blake is innocent.  It only means the government did not prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.  ... Again, we don't convict people because we "think" or "believe" someone is guilty.  Rightfully, it must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

In a free society, to protect the innocent, a few guilty people will unfortunately slip through the system.  Better to err, however, on the side of risking letting the guilty go, than unjustly convict and execute an innocent person.

Sadly, the Blake case appears to be a classic example of malicious prosecution.  At the very least, government should be forced to pay all legal expenses incurred by acquitted defendants.  Equally important, all defendants should be allotted the same nearly unlimited resources provided prosecutors by taxpayers.  Justice demands it.

Otherwise, inept and/or corrupt and abusive prosecutors and police will continue to bulldoze innocent indigent citizens and the middle class.  Leveling of playing field is absolutely required for justice to prevail.  Would certainly discourage inept and/or corrupt and abusive prosecutors and police from bringing false charges.  Sadly, government no longer cares whether or not a defendant is guilty.  Just wants a conviction and another notch on the belt. In Nazi America.

Claiming he's broke, Blake has little recourse or hope for restitution.  None of the bastards in the District Attorney's office or police department will likely ever be prosecuted or successfully sued.  Sovereign immunity statutes that protect and coddle corrupt and abusive government will conveniently ensure it.  Again, in Nazi America.  Conversely, however, Blake will likely be sued by his late wife's family.  Adding insult to injury.

Wolfowitz Nomination   March 16, 2005

Assistant Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz has been conveniently nominated by the "President" to head the World Bank.  Interestingly, Mr. Wolfowitz will likely be strongly opposed by a number of foreign countries for his involvement in, and fervent support of, the American invasion of Iraq.  ... Once again, proof positive and clear indication of Mr. Bush's Aryan arrogance and utter disregard, abject ignorance of world opinion.  Yet, the fascist dolt occupying the Oval Office expects undying foreign support and willingness to march in goose-step with the American Fuhrer.  Amusing, isn't it?  Tragic, as well.

ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions

The following is a series of unedited email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and this writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year ago.  To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint filed.  Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues, -- or is wildly incompetent.  You decide.  ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions
