This publication has been in suspension since March 2003 for reasons fully explained on the Home Page.  Much has happened in the United States, as well as the rest of the world, since the last edition.  ... Sadly, most of it disturbing.  Until return to online publication, the format will remain as follows.    T.C. February 21, 2005

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (2-21-05).

Class Action Debacle   February 18, 2005

In an outrageous attempt to severely limit victims' constitutional right to sue, the "President" signed legislation severely weakening class action suits, restricting most to federal courts.
... Where stringent rules grossly in favor of corporations make it far more difficult to prevail. American Nazism at its worst.

Republicans, along with Democrat turncoats, are directly responsible for this egregious assault on constitutional rights.  The "President" and his congressional shills care absolutely nothing for victims of greedy corporations who do not place worker or consumer safety first.  Bottom line, indeed, trumps all.

By his own admission, the "President's" Class Action "Fairness" Act protects errant corporations from local juries not sympathetic to them.  Makes sure corrupt and abusive corporate bastards are shielded from "excessive" awards, -- successfully abrogating the Seventh Amendment.  Once again, the "President" and his shills in Congress have deliberately violated their oaths of office.

Had Mr. Bush truly wished to "fix" the "broken" legal system to the benefit of the public, however, he would have proposed legislation severely limiting attorney compensation to more reasonable rates.  -- Made it far more difficult for corporations and their officers to stonewall lawsuits, using enormous corporate wealth to drag them out forever.

...Instead, the "President" and his congressional cronies gleefully stuck it up the rump of victims, -- without the Vaseline.  The public must remember Republicans and turncoat Democrats when denied their day in court, -- and at the polls.  The "President", however, is just beginning.  Intends to federally limit pain and suffering awards in medical malpractice cases to $250,000, as they now are in Texas.  ... Should a butcher doctor remove the wrong eye, foot, leg, arm, kidney, etc., think $250K in pain and suffering fair?  The Nazi occupying the White House certainly thinks so.

The "President" and his shills in Congress have given corrupt and abusive corporate management carte blanche to virtually do whatever they wish with impunity.  Exceptionally brilliant, since corporations and their officers are seldom criminally prosecuted anyway.  Now, it will be far harder to civilly sue.  Worse, severe restriction of class action suits conveniently closes one of the last avenues of justice available to victims without funds to hire attorneys to sue.  Exactly, what the Nazis in power have worked so hard to achieve.

... No personal responsibility for the captains of industry.  The "President" and Congress have guaranteed it.  ... Personal responsibility is reserved for the unwashed masses, not government officials or corporate management.  -- To say nothing of thieving, tax evading preachers.

The outrageous Nazis currently in power, bought and paid for by Big Business, have effectively shut the courthouse door to those most afflicted.  The very same fascists who supposedly champion states' rights, hypocritically now conspire to consolidate federal power to benefit their benefactors in industry.  Sieg Heil.

Israelis Rescind Bulldozing Policy    February 17, 2005

For years, Israel bulldozed houses belonging to families of suicide bombers.  Wantonly destroyed 1800.  ... Apparently, a Gestapo tactic learned from earlier oppressors of the Nazi era.  Why the change?  Israelis claim its barbaric policy had no effect, other than solidify Palestinian opposition to Israel, creating more terrorists.  Duh.  Clearly demonstrates, no matter what, aggressive stupidity indeed has its limits, doesn't it?

National Intelligence Director-Designate John Negroponte February 17, 2005

U.S. Ambassador to Iraq John Negroponte has been nominated by the "President" to head the newly created Department of National Intelligence.  If confirmed by the Senate, Negroponte will oversee 15 intelligence agencies.  ... Aren't we lucky?

Billions of additional tax dollars will be squandered, providing an additional level of bureaucracy.  Conveniently, allows "President" Bush to falsely claim, however, the "Administration" is forcing change in the intelligence community.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

No one has been held accountable for egregious failures including the 9/11 catastrophe and non-existent weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, leading to an unprovoked "pre-emptive" war.

Personal responsibility is reserved for the unwashed masses, -- not our fascist "President" or his henchmen.  The buck does not stop with Mr. Bush.  It simply gets conveniently ignored.

Mr. Negroponte is a career diplomat with no experience in intelligence.  Yet, he will amusingly "advise" the "President" on a daily basis.  He also has no knowledge of the budget process, despite the fact budgeting of all 15 intelligence agencies will be his responsibility.

Mr. Negroponte strongly supported, aided and abetted, the "President's" non-existent weapons of mass destruction excuse for "pre-emptive" war against Iraq.  He is a "yes man" and cannot be trusted to confront Bush when the "President" is wrong.  ... Sorry.  Almost forgot.  Bush believes he's never wrong.

Mr. Negroponte, although not held accountable, was directly involved in the Iran-Contra scandal during the Reagan Administration.  -- Then again, neither was Reagan or Daddy Bush as Vice President.  Both escaped impeachment and removal from office.  So what else is knew?

Bush Recalls Ambassador To Syria   February 15, 2005

In response to yesterday's massive car bombing in Lebanon, the "President" recalled the U.S. ambassador to Syria.  The former Lebanese prime minister and at least 16 others were killed.  Many more were injured.

Although unclear who is responsible, it is possible Syria orchestrated the catastrophe.  Unlikely, however, since Syria would have been the first to be blamed.  Would have drawn unwanted attention.  More likely, a splinter terrorist group committed the atrocity.  -- People who do not want stability in the area.

Complicating matters is the presence of 15,000 Syrian troops in Lebanon.  -- The courageously outspoken former Lebanese prime minister was strongly opposed, and was considering running again for office when assassinated.  ... Fueling speculation Syria was involved.

Be interesting to see how quickly the "Administration" imposes additional measures, and how aggressively.  -- Might just be the golden opportunity and excuse Ole' George "The Tush" had been waiting for to conveniently expand and extend his war in the Middle East.

Senate Ratifies Chertoff   February 15, 2005

The Senate confirmed Judge Michael Chertoff as Secretary of Homeland "Security", 98-0.  Mr. Chertoff is a member of the U.S. Court of Appeals, a former prosecutor and Assistant U.S. Attorney General.  While at the "Justice" Department, Mr. Chertoff strongly supported the "Administration" in its efforts to deny "detainees" suspected of terrorism, attorneys and access to the courts.

The judge is exceptionally partisan and helped craft the USA "Patriot" Act, abrogating the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments to the Constitution.  Despite gutless, deliberate evisceration of civil and constitutional rights perversely in the name of national "security," the Senate, without opposition, confirmed this outrageous fascist to head an agency, cleverly designed to further trample whatever liberty and constitutional rights that remain.

Sadly, once again, Democrats have gutlessly embraced political correctness, a sickening display of cowardice for sake of political expediency.  Not surprisingly, newly-confirmed Nazis now occupy the helms of the "Justice" Department and Homeland "Security."  ... Adolph would, indeed, have been proud.

The "President" once again Aryan arrogantly re-nominated to the federal bench, several fascists previously filibustered by Senate Democrats.  Be interesting to see if the "loyal minority" gutlessly capitulates this time, or figuratively fights the fascist bastard occupying the Oval Office.

ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions

The following is a series of unedited email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and this writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year ago.  To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint filed.  Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues, -- or is wildly incompetent.  You decide.  ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions
