"President's" Address On Iraq

To ensure Republican victory in November and again two years from now, the "President" of the United States desperately remains willing and eager to place your sons and daughters in harm's way.  Mr. Bush began his October 7 speech to the nation severely distorting reality:  "Tonight I want to take a few minutes to discuss a grave threat to peace, and America's determination to lead the world in confronting that threat."  No, Mr. "President".  Indeed, you have it backwards.  The true "threat to peace" comes not from Saddam, but from you and your murderous desire to impose your perverse agenda, not only on the people of the United States, but the world as well.

You do so, not for reasons of legitimate principle and true concern for security of this once great country, but to ensure victory in coming elections, and successfully enact your philosophy of fascism.  Working definition of fascism for new readers? An abusive and dangerous oligarchy based on a pernicious blend of government, big business, and religion. ... A boot-heel cynically placed on the throat of the masses, justified in principle by perversion and bastardization of religion.

Mr. "President", the world does not seek your "leadership" in confronting Iraq.  Clearly, wants no part of it.  Even the Norwegian Nobel Committee, responsible for awarding the 2002 Peace Prize to former President Jimmy Carter, indirectly but strongly expressed its extreme displeasure and exceptional concern with your obsessive-compulsive militancy and bloodthirst, declaring: "The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2002 to Jimmy Carter for his decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development.  In a situation currently marked by threats of the use of power, Carter has stood by the principles that conflicts must as far as possible be resolved through mediation and international cooperation based on international law, respect for human rights and economic development."

Interestingly, Nobel Committee Chairman Gunnar Berge threw additional fuel on the fire commenting further on Mr. Bush's aggressiveness as opposed to Carter's determined diplomatic tact, resulting in the former President's selection, -- after previously being nominated many times: "I hope it will help strengthen what Carter has to say. He has a more moderate point of view than the sitting administration."  No kidding, Mr. Berge.  Problem is, Americans are too aggressively stupid to fully understand, and have conveniently forgotten the lessons of Vietnam, -- and 58,000 names engraved on the "The Wall."  ... Who died for no more than political expediency and the best interests of Corporate America.  Certainly, not freedom.

Berge's complaint was no different in substance than that of other Bush critics throughout the world: "They should be sticking more to principles of mediation and international cooperation."  The unilateral, "cowboy" approach is outrageous, Mr. "President."  Highly indicative of Aryan arrogance so despised by the world community.  While Iraqi intransigence is indeed a problem, clearly you have produced no new evidence of Saddam's increasing or imminent threat.  None.  Precisely, why overwhelming international support is not there, George.

With exception of Britain and Israel, you enjoy nearly universal opposition.  What you insist on perpetrating will lead to deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians.  To say nothing of the loss of our best and brightest you so recklessly send into battle for no more than reasons of political expediency and self-serving personal convenience.  Your bloodthirst and utter disregard for loss of life are keenly demonstrative of profound evil lurking at your exceptionally hollow core.

You perversely assert: "The threat comes from Iraq. It arises directly from the Iraqi regime's own actions - its history of aggression, and its drive toward an arsenal of terror."  While indeed Saddam is no altar boy, as the kettle calling the pot black, you conveniently ignore profoundly enormous American hypocrisy.  You remain callously silent as Israel continues to murder innocent Palestinian civilians, using American-supplied heavy weapons and treasure.

-- In direct violation of U.S. export law you cowardly refuse to enforce.  In direct violation of your oath of office, sir.  Then again, to a fascist determined to impose his philosophy, you make the "law", don't you, Mr. "President"?  "Arsenal of terror"?  What about the F-16s and Apaches you continue to supply Israel?  What about the Israeli nuclear arsenal you hypocritically ignore?  … Think Israel wouldn't hesitate to use it if cornered?

Disingenuously, you piously assert:  "We also must never forget the most vivid events of recent history. On September 11, 2001, America felt its vulnerability - even to threats that gather on the other side of the earth. We resolved then, and we are resolved today, to confront every threat, from any source, that could bring sudden terror and suffering to America."  Wake up, Mr. "President."  American strong bias towards Israel and extreme lack of evenhandedness in the Middle East are directly responsible for the 9/11 catastrophe.

Sadly, you have successfully pulled the wool over the eyes of the aggressively stupid American public.  They have absolutely no clue what truly drives Arab hatred of the United States.  -- Condemning this once great country to repeated terrorist threat and attack.  Had you truly cared for American security and welfare of its people, you would have quickly corrected years of disastrous policy directed against Arabs in the Middle East.  Then again, you continue to follow in goosestep, Aryan arrogant policy followed by your predecessors for years.

You ludicrously declare: "While there are many dangers in the world, the threat from Iraq stands alone - because it gathers the most serious dangers of our age in one place."  How so, George?  Nothing in this speech, or to date, supports that assertion.  Nothing.  You have shown absolutely no new evidence regarding impending threat from the Iraqi dictator.  None.  Instead, you deliberately invoke and generate fear, disingenuously asserting: "Facing clear evidence of peril, we cannot wait for the final proof - the smoking gun - that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud."  Where is your "clear evidence of peril"?  Where?

Shameless, aren't you, Mr. "President"?  Why would Saddam first-use a nuclear weapon unprovoked?  While indeed evil, the dictator is not stupid.  Knows full well, would rightfully and immediately lead to nuclear obliteration of his country.  Knows the same would occur should any such technology be transferred to terrorists.  Precisely, why your comments regarding this issue hold no water: "If the Iraqi regime is able to produce, buy, or steal an amount of highly-enriched uranium a little larger than a single softball, it could have a nuclear weapon in less than a year. And if we allow that to happen, a terrible line would be crossed. Saddam Hussein would be in a position to blackmail anyone who opposes his aggression. He would be in a position to dominate the Middle East. He would be in a position to threaten America. And Saddam Hussein would be in a position to pass nuclear technology to terrorists."

Do you really think he's stupid enough to guaranty his immediate death and reduction of his nation to glass and ashes?  By either Israeli or American nuclear retaliation?  If so, why didn't he employ chemical or biological agents during the Gulf War eleven years ago?  Your glaring bloodthirst, George, although not surprising, is nonetheless stunning.  -- For no more than political expediency and imposition of your fascist agenda.  At the expense of hundreds of thousands of lives.  Your egregious ignorance of the consequences of unprovoked attack against Iraq demonstrates your exceptional unfitness for office, and raises serious questions regarding your judgment.

No question, American forces will be subject to chemical and biological attack. So will Israel.  Since Saddam is dead either way, why not use all he has?  In his view, take as many American aggressors and Israelis with him as possible. Equally importantly, any unprovoked American attack would serve to enflame and unite the Arab world.  The Iraqi dictator would have absolutely nothing to lose using weapons of mass destruction in response to unprovoked attack.  Absolutely, nothing.  You have cleverly ensured that, Mr. "President".  That way, should it happen, you can then say:  "See. I told you so."

Know what?  The aggressively stupid American people will buy it, George.  Indeed, pathetically don't know any better.  Neither does Congress, -- glaringly so, since it's already rubberstamped your murderous plans, giving up its constitutional war-declaring responsibilities.  After only several days of debate.  A "resolution" means nothing.  Where is full congressional debate and constitutionally-mandated declaration of war?  Why the rush, George?  Unlike Pearl Harbor, where indeed is the urgency?  … Almost forgot, it's the coming elections, stupid.

You have deliberately and disingenuously lied to the American people regarding your murderous intentions, stating: "I hope this will not require military action, but it may. And military conflict could be difficult. An Iraqi regime faced with its own demise may attempt cruel and desperate measures. If Saddam Hussein orders such measures, his generals would be well advised to refuse those orders. If they do not refuse, they must understand that all war criminals will be pursued and punished."

Should you preemptively attack, Mr. "President", something the United States has never done, it will be you, sir, who will indeed be the war criminal. Regardless of a Congressional rubberstamp of "resolution".  No more than a common ordinary murderous street thug, -- who would have rightfully been immediately arrested and prosecuted.  The same standards no longer apply to government thugs as yourself, Mr. "President".

Your ability to seriously distort and twist reality, George, is stunning: "The time for denying, deceiving, and delaying has come to an end. Saddam Hussein must disarm himself - or, for the sake of peace, we will lead a coalition to disarm him."  Translation?  For the sake of peace, we break the peace by going to war, right, Mr. "President"?  -- Got to kill 'em, to save 'em, no?  Where in hell did we hear that before? Thirty-five years ago and at a steep price of 58,000 names on The Wall?   It is you, sir, who are doing the "denying" and "deceiving", Mr. "President".  It is you, sir, who sound remarkably similar to Adolph Hitler when he arrogantly and disingenuously "justified" murderous Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939.  Amazing how history tends to repeat itself, isn't it, sir?

You and your fascist henchmen certainly placed the icing on the cake in your final comments of the speech: "We did not ask for this present challenge, but we accept it. Like other generations of Americans, we will meet the responsibility of defending human liberty against violence and aggression. By our resolve, we will give strength to others. By our courage, we will give hope to others. By our actions, we will secure the peace, and lead the world to a better day."

No, Mr. "President", you have once again shamelessly lied to the exceptionally cowardly and gullible people.  Indeed, it is you, who have deliberately created and generated this phony "challenge".  For the sake of political expediency and imposition of fascism.  You are not "defending human liberty against violence and aggression."  Quite, the contrary.  First, you have given the enemy a victory it could never have achieved on the battlefield, -- the obliteration of the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments via a glaringly unconstitutional "Patriot" Act and equally unconstitutional Executive Orders.

Second, you murderously and ludicrously propose to kill to "secure the peace".  Would be g-ddamned laughable, if not so pathetically tragic and misguided.  A false, phony manufactured crisis having no merit.  For no more than political expediency and imposition of fascism.  A "better day"?  How, Mr. "President"?  By the legalized murder of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians?  Is this your perverse concept of "Christian" "love" and "charity", George?  You, sir, are a disgrace and egregious embarrassment.  Now, countless numbers of innocent people will pay for the great limitless evil lurking at your profoundly shallow core.

In a recent letter to Congress, CIA Director George Tenet declared Iraq "for now appears to be drawing a line short of conducting terrorist attacks with conventional or chemical or biological weapons."  Interesting, isn't it?  Runs counter to existence of immediate threat obsessively-compulsively stated by the "President".  The Director went on to speculate Saddam may indeed use those weapons terroristically, -- if provoked by imminent American attack.  Yet, the jackass appointed to the White House insists on immediately going to war.  … For political expediency and to guarantee GOP success in coming elections.

"Administration" reaction to the CIA letter was ludicrous.  According to the "President's" henchmen, the use of weapons of mass destruction by Saddam in response to an American preemptive attack is proof the Iraqi dictator is dangerous and a threat to the United States.  Do you understand the aggressive stupidity and how profoundly circuitous that "reasoning" is, readers?  Would have been like President Kennedy saying forty years ago the Soviets are dangerous, and then after nuking them, declaring: "See.  I told you so."  … As Soviet warheads exploded in retaliation over American cities.

Exceptionally pointedly, this appointed "President" is no John F. Kennedy.  Not even close.  Not by a long shot.  Not in the same universe.  -- The height of Aryan arrogance for Ole' George to borrow rhetoric from the Cuban missile crisis to falsely compare and equate what the late President did during the October 1962 ordeal with the current falsely manufactured crisis created by the Nazi currently sitting in the White House.

Nothing less than outrageous for Mr. Bush to compare himself in any way to what would have been the finest president to have ever served this country, -- had he not been assassinated.  -- Notwithstanding his extremely short tenure, the very best president to have ever served to many who knew him and lived during those exceptionally heady times.  ... When the United States truly stood for something other than Nazism.

Ironically, the late President was in Dallas the terrible day he was gunned down to courageously combat the growing fascist problem in Texas when his life was snuffed out.  ... A city that was then the center of the Extreme Right and its increasing aggressiveness and insanity, November 22, 1963.  ... A day the significance of which, one exceptionally well-educated particularly vocal local member of the extremist fringe did not understand.  ... Until I told him.

Surprisingly, stiff opposition to the Iraq resolution came from the most unlikely of sources, -- West Virginia Sen. Robert Byrd.  The 84-year-old politician did a remarkably courageous job stonewalling the "Chief Executive" regarding the proposed war and Department of National Security, -- an agency that will be no more than an instrument for further evisceration of civil and constitutional rights.

The Senator recently summed up his opposition exceptionally poignantly: "A sudden appetite for war with Iraq seems to have consumed the Bush administration and Congress. The debate that began in the Senate last week is centered not on the fundamental and monumental questions of whether and why the United States should go to war with Iraq, but rather on the mechanics of how best to wordsmith the president's use-of-force resolution in order to give him virtually unchecked authority to commit the nation's military to an unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation."

That's right, Mr. Byrd.  Thanks for aggressively keeping up the fight, regardless of the fact it was a lost cause due to the stunning cowardice of Republican and Democrat shills for the fascist occupying the White House.  The Senator did all he could to delay the vote.  Only hoped he could have succeeded, -- and Democrats would have finally come to their senses and courageously prevented the bloodbath that's about to come in the Middle East, courtesy of a tyrant appointed to the White House.  A tyrant obsessively-compulsively determined to impose his will, his fascist principles, and successfully obliterate constitutional rights and liberties in the process.  Seig Heil, Mein Fuhrer.

Demonstrating it is no more than a shill for the "President, the House voted October 10, 296-133, in favor of a resolution granting the "Commander In Chief" authority to use whatever military force he deems necessary to "defend the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq."  Cowardly legislators quickly ceded their constitutionally-mandated power to declare war.  After only several days of debate, with no immediate threat in sight.  For no more than political expediency and electoral considerations.

Mr. Bush quickly commented on the vote, declaring it to be something "all Americans can be proud of."  No, Mr. "President", it's not.  Quite, the contrary.  Clearly indicates there is no difference between both parties.  Demonstrates the exceptional cowardice of politicians who care far more about their political fortunes than the blood to be spilled for no more than political expediency and reelection of candidates for office.  Once again, has made this writer profoundly ashamed to be an American.  Indeed, nothing to be proud of.  Nor celebrate.  Truly, a day to be remembered as one of the worst in our history, should this insanity come to fruition.

The "President" further crowed: "The House of Representatives has spoken clearly to the world and to the United Nations Security Council."   Sure has, George.  Spoken volumes.  Demonstrates this country has no respect for the rule of international law, is no more than a bully, hell-bent on imposing its will, -- with or without international support.  Once again, indicated how incredibly Aryan arrogant American policy has become.  That any country unhappy with another can justify preemptive attack with no immediate threat in sight.  Regardless of the consequences.  Most of all, it's proof-positive legislators have absolutely no mind of their own, or ability to think for themselves.  Have cowardly chosen to march in goosestep with a Nazi "President."

In like fashion, the equally cowardly Senate voted 77-23, October 11 in the wee hours of the morning in support of the resolution and the jackass appointed to the Oval Office.  Both bodies, along with the fascist occupying the White House will be directly responsible for all blood spilled.  Should it occur and regardless of its success, the preemptive strike will be no less immoral than Hitler's invasion of Poland in 1939.  Any government installed will be no more than a puppet bowing to its masters in Washington. Sieg Heil, Mein Fuhrer. U.S. Uber Alles.

"Christian" Coalition

Further evidence the "President's" agenda is a "Christian" theocracy and fascist police-state is offered by his continued strong support of the "Christian" Coalition and its seemingly identical agenda.  In a pro-Israel rally held October 11, Coalition leaders and the "faithful" were addressed by Sen. James Inhofe, R-Oklahoma: "Get the few liberals out. If you don't do it, it ain't gonna be done. You will be doing the Lord's work, and he will richly bless you for it."

Is that right, Mr. Inhofe?  We all need to march in goosestep, do we, sir?  No need for thought or critical thinking, is there, Congressman?  You know best, don't you, sir?  Should all put our faith in you, right, Jimmy?  You speak for the Creator, don't you?  ... A bit presumptive, isn't it?

First Amendment mandated church-state separation is a non-starter for these fascists.  The Nazi element in the United States has no clue the First Amendment not only guaranties freedom of religion, but freedom FROM it as well.  "Christian" Coalition sponsor Joyce Meyer went so far as to declare church-state separation "is a deception from Satan."  Apparently, this fascist has a hot line to the Creator and further declared: "If God is in fact separated from the government, then we can never possibly have a godly government. There's no way for America to be good if she's not godly."

This arrogant Aryan glaringly distorts and ignores reality to further her shamelessly political agenda.  Conveniently dismisses millions of truly good moral people in this country who are non-monotheists, agnostics, or atheists.  Law-abiding, genuinely loving people.  Good citizens.  Kind to their children.  Civic-minded, rugged individualists, not subscribing to the established "religious" order.  This glaring reality and unquestionable truth do not conveniently fit in with Meyer's fascist principles and agenda, however.  … And that of the Fascist Right and the appointed "President".  Sadly, she received a standing ovation from the crowd, clearly demonstrative of how exceptionally ignorant, of the Constitution and principles of the Founders of this once great nation, these Nazis truly are.

Cleverly, Ms. Meyer, although carefully disingenuously declaring the 9/11 catastrophe not to have been caused by God, "piously" opined: "If we don't obey God, God's protection is lifted."  Is that right, Ms. Meyer?  Who the hell are you to make such judgment and speak for the Creator?  A bit presumptive, isn't it?  Since when did the Creator die and appoint you God, madam?  This fascist is a glaring example of the Nazi Right in this once great country, -- and their deliberate disingenuous evisceration of reality.  Should her ilk be successful in overthrowing the Bill of Rights and liberty in this nation, all independent thinking and creativity will die.  Lost to Nazism and its goosestepping rigidity and iron-fisted, narrow-minded principles and agenda.  ,,, Adolph and Benito must indeed be smiling. They've won, haven't they?

School Bullying

Bullying is a problem in our schools across the nation.  Has been for many, many years.  West Virginia has an innovative program called the Civil Rights Team Project designed to combat and alleviate this particularly destructive and debilitating form of abuse and violence against young people.  Sadly, gays, or anyone perceived to be gay, have been a favorite target of juvenile "terrorists".  Consequently, many have suffered the brunt of violence and outrageous harassment on school campuses.  Precisely, why anti-bullying efforts have been designed to protect this group and others similarly afflicted.

The West Virginian Family Foundation, however, has a problem with this innovative program, considering it no more than advancing a "gay agenda".  The Foundation is a "conservative" "Christian" group that supports "traditional" "family values."  Translation?  These outrageous homophobic bigots demand the "right" to impose their exceptionally perverse "values" on the rest of us, both straight and gay, through force of law.  Are violently opposed  to anti-bullying activities of the Civil Rights Team Project, perversely declaring it to be no more than a front for the "homosexual agenda".

These zealots filed open records requests with the state attorney general's office and 20 schools to determine the identity of students who participated.  … What do these fascists intend to do with the information?  Stone the "offenders", -- as prescribed by the sick puppy who wrote Leviticus?  As the Nigerian government intends to do to a woman who had sex outside marriage?  … Barbarically burying her up to her neck and stoning her to death?   Judeo-Christian-Islamic "love" and "charity"?

Kevin McCoy, president of the Foundation, precisely defined "gay agenda":  "promotion and open acceptance of this chosen lifestyle as normal and on par with heterosexuality in every facet of society."  Magnificently enlightened, isn't he?  Did Mr. McCoy "choose" to be straight?  What does this fascist know about "normal"?  How is it "normal" to impose your perversely immoral views and beliefs on the rest of us, both straight and gay, through force of law, Mr. McCoy?  Not only are these Nazis desperately attempting to impose their "religious" views regarding homosexuality, but a variety of other issues as well.

Who are these people to legislate their perversely immoral views regarding heterosexual sex between consenting adults outside of marriage?  Who are they to tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her uterus?  Who are they to tell the rest of us what we can read, view in the movies, boob tube, or on the Internet?  Who are they to ban books in the schools, such as Salinger's classic Catcher In The Rye for being "obscene"?  Who are these Nazis to force the teaching of "Creationism" in the schools as an alternative to evolution, -- despite the fact there is absolutely no scientific basis for it?  None.

McCoy has a problem with hate-crimes protections: "The fact is the 'project' is really nothing more than hate crimes training for children under the guise of an anti-bullying program."  Why do those so strongly opposed have a problem with protection of targeted groups?  The answer is exceedingly simple.  Mr. McCoy and other "Christian" fascists of his ilk seek protection, not only of their homophobic bigotry, but from consequences of imposing their perverse views on those they shamelessly target.  … Cowardly, in the name of "Christian" "love".  Perversely, eviscerating everything Christ stood for.  ... Can only imagine how pissed he'll be, should he return as they claim he will. Wouldn't even recognize the "church" they've so badly bastardized and eviscerated.  -- Pointedly, what's love got to do with it anyway, right?  It's the money, stupid.  And the power.

The Nazi element fervently bashes gays, -- despite the fact Christ himself had absolutely nothing to say about homosexuality in the four Gospels.  Nothing.  ... And bashed no one, -- other than the most outrageous hypocrites of his time, the Pharisees.  Exactly the example the "Religious" Right desperately embraces and skillfully emulates. Christ's exceptional love and tolerance don't stop these outrageous fascists from lambasting gays.  Consequently, emboldening the sicker element in society to beat and kill innocent people whose only "crime" is love and sex with a member of the same gender.

Doesn't matter to these outrageously sick sons of bitches, who insist on imposing their perversely ill bastardized views of Christianity on the rest of us who don't share their narrow-minded principles.  -- Pointedly, doesn't absolve either, the ones committing the violence or those who instigate it by desperately attempting to legislate and impose their sick "Christian" views.  On the rest of the population, straight or gay.  Whether believers, or not.  … As they laugh their portly asses off all the way to the bank, and thank God each Sunday on bended knee for their good fortune.  Stolen from the people on the bottom of the food chain.

The Culture and Family Institute is an affiliate of Concerned Women for America.   Peter LaBarbera is Senior Policy Analyst.  Regarding the anti-bullying program, he declares:  "It is their way of saying religion contributes to homophobia.  We don't get the same respect from gays for traditional religion that we are expected to give for their lifestyle. They tend to believe that people who don't agree with their lifestyle is [are] intolerant.  But people have a right in this country to believe that homosexuality is not an acceptable lifestyle."

As all these fascists, LaBarbera is highly skilled distorting reality.  … Hey, Pete?  The fascist fringe of "Christianity" in this country does indeed embrace and cowardly display glaring homophobia.  No question.  Exceptionally insecure of its own sexuality, the Extreme Right buries its homosexual proclivities and desires.  Does so extremely destructively, however.  -- Dangerously imperiling those perceived or declared to be gay.

Subjecting them to violence in their zeal, not only to impose their perverse views, but to cowardly deny latent homosexual desires in themselves. Sadly, when they do so, innocent gays wind up beaten and dead.  -- While hypocritical sons of bitches like you disingenuously "condemn" the violence you deliberately instigated.  ... Think Christ's not pissed, you jackass?

Mr. LaBarbera, those of your ilk do not receive the "same respect from gays for traditional religion that we are expected to give for their lifestyle" because you extend absolutely no respect to them, deny their right to embrace their sexuality, and discriminate against them in the workplace, housing, and in every other facet of life.  How can you expect the "same respect" when you so outrageously deny them rights you and I take for granted?  No more than a question of which came first, sir, -- the chicken or egg?  Then again, you and those who believe as you are too aggressively stupid to understand or accept this.  Runs counter to your Nazi agenda.

It's not your disagreement with the gay lifestyle that is the problem, sir.  It is the dire consequences of your homophobic bigotry, resulting from such strongly prejudiced and self-righteous views, that are indeed so extremely damaging and dangerous to gays.  -- And anyone else who strongly questions your "principles".  Precisely, why gays are beaten and killed, you jackass.  Yet, you're too damned stupid and short-sighted to understand and comprehend.

No question, you have the right to believe whatever you wish regarding homosexuality, heterosexual sex outside marriage, and abortion.  You have no right, however, to dictate and legislate your perverse views, however.  Frankly, they're un-American and demonstrate no regard or understanding or appreciation of liberty and freedom.

Regarding the manual used by the anti-bullying program, LaBarbera disingenuously whined:  "Why can't we have something in the manual that says don't pick on Christians?"  Would be laughable, if not so damned tragic and pathetic.  "Christians" run and own this country, Mr. LaBarbera.  Are dangerously attempting to impose their fascist views on the rest of us through force of law.  Unconstitutionally, seeking to turn this country into a "Christian" theocracy.  When anyone takes exception and vigorously challenges their fascist agenda, these cowards feign profound chagrin and desperately seek protection. Tough, isn't it?

Judicial Nominations

The "President" continues to whine about Senate intransigence regarding his judicial nominees.  Recently complaining about treatment of Miguel Estrada, Mr. Bush declared: "There are senators who are playing politics with this good man's nomination.  There are senators who would rather not give him the benefit of the doubt, senators looking for a reason to defeat him as opposed to looking for a reason to herald his intelligence, his capabilities, his talent. I strongly object to the way this man is going to be treated in the United States Senate."

They're rightfully dragging their feet, Mr. "President".  Estrada is an unabashed fascist and has no business on the bench.  None.  Fortunately, Senate Democrats are holding the line.  When you start submitting more moderate candidates, Senate intransigence will end, George.

Amazing how pretentious some Senators can be, however.  Sen. Strom Thurmond, about to blessedly finally retire, is not a happy camper regarding Senate Judiciary Committee intransigence and scheduling of votes on the "President's" most fascist judicial candidates.  Ole' Strom is particularly piqued former aide, U.S. District Judge Dennis Shedd, is being stonewalled by the committee chairman for an appellate position.  Tough, isn't it?

Thurmond whined: "In 48 years in the Senate, I have never been treated in such a manner."  Too bad, Senator.  Who the hell are you? We have no royalty in this country, sir.  Why should the committee vote on a fascist candidate unfit to be dog catcher, -- just to show "proper" deference to you?  Senators opposing such nominations should be applauded, not condemned, you jackass.  … Should have done the honorable thing and retired some forty years ago, sparing the country your own particular brand of fascism, Senator.

White House Spokesman Calls For Saddam's Murder

On October 1, the White House literally and openly called for the murder of Saddam Hussein.  Musing about the Iraqi dictator's relatively cheap ouster by bullet in comparison to cost of war, White House Spokesman Ari Fleischer piously and thoughtfully declared: "I can only say that the cost of a one-way ticket is substantially less than that. The cost of one bullet, if the Iraqi people take it on themselves, is substantially less than that. The cost of war is more than that…if the Iraqis took matters in their own hands, no one around the world would shed a tear."  Has murder now become "Christian" "charity" and "love" in the view of the "President", Mr. Fleischer?

Then again, in the current insanity sweeping the United States over the last year or so, nothing should come as any surprise. In a recently published book, former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani declared he had asked the "President" some three days after 9/11 if he could personally execute bin Laden if captured.  Stunning, isn't it?  Reportedly, Mr. Giuliani wrote:  "I am sure he thought I was just speaking rhetorically, but I was serious. Bin Laden had attacked my city, and as its mayor I had the strong feeling that I was the most appropriate person to do it."  Think this man fit for higher office?  The jackass appointed to the White House by a fascist U.S. Supreme Court is considering appointing Giuliani to head the proposed Department of Homeland Security.  Not surprising, is it?  Certainly not, in Nazi America.

Desperation

Desperate to retake the Senate and give our fascist "President " carte blanche, Republicans unsuccessfully tried to get the U.S. Supreme Court to block ballot changes in the New Jersey Senate race fiasco.  Robert Torricelli bowed out due to serious ethics violations.  Cleverly spotting an opportunity to steal the election, GOP cronies of the "Chief Executive" wanted their candidate to run unopposed, giving New Jersey voters no electoral choice.  Stung by enormous criticism earned by their appointment of the "President" to office, however, the Supreme Court wisely chose not to intervene in the N.J. fiasco.  Republicans, have no intentions of giving up, however.  Now, they're going to court to block transfer of campaign funds to Frank Lautenberg, the candidate who replaced Torricelli.  Tough, isn't it?

Navy Credit Card Abuse

Sailors are using taxpayer-funded credit cards to get their cookies off.  Our dedicated military personnel spent $13,250 at two Nevada brothels.  Imagine that.  … Hope they got "their" money's worth, no?  Another $28,700 was expended at three topless clubs.  …  Can't blame the ole' boys, can we? Putting their lives on the line for their country, can we do no less for our best and brightest?  Be damned unpatriotic not to strongly support such expenditures, wouldn't it?  The above was only a portion of something in excess of $200,000 in new fraudulent government credit card use recently found by congressional investigators.  Virtually, any personnel requesting a government credit card gets one.  God bless America.

FBI Profiling

In violation of the Fourth Amendment right to privacy, Nazi FBI goons are using an outrageously unconstitutional "Patriot" Act to monitor hundreds of Muslim men in this country, 24 hrs. a day through interception of telephone calls, email, Internet usage, credit card use, and travel.  These outrageously abusive sons of bitches are recruiting friends and family members as informers.  These fascist bastards have forgotten this is the United States, not Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union, and that we supposedly remain a nation of laws with the Constitution presiding over all.  No longer, apparently.

Outrageously, the FBI is stonewalling congressional attempts to obtain information regarding these abuses as well as information regarding an informer who lived with two of the 9/11 perpetrators prior to the atrocity. The criminal bastards, no better than ordinary street thugs, are covering their asses.  The "Justice" Department is also vigorously fighting release of further information requested by the judge in the Yaser Esam Hamdi case.  … The man, an American citizen, has been illegally held for months as an "enemy combatant.  -- With no access to an attorney or the court system.  The "President" to date has been remarkably successful using the war against terror as a convenient excuse to establish a fascist police state.  The cowardly aggressively stupid American people have bought it hook, line, and sinker.  Exceptional cowardice and fear rule.  Sieg Heil.

Trust Funds Missing

Some $137 billion, that's billion with a "b", is missing.  Money belonging to Native Americans, looted by the United States government.  Money from royalties on lands owned by American Indian tribes.  The scandalous fiasco has reached the point where Bush appointee Interior Secretary Gale Norton has been held in contempt.  When will this issue finally make the national radar screen?

Abortion Attack

In another blatant deliberate attack on abortion rights, the Bush "Administration" will consider fetuses to be "unborn children" in the State Children's Health Insurance Program. The states will have to decide whether or not to participate.  The fascist "President" and his Nazi henchmen are determined to remove from women the right to do with their uterus as they damn well please.  This, but one cleverly calculated step along the way.

Follow-Up To Dell Corporation Fiasco

Dear Mr. DeRosier,

Don't you think it a bit juvenile and in fact
aggressively stupid to use a Yahoo.Com server address
to spoof and illicitly sign this publication up for
unrequested "services"?  ... To both email addresses
listed on the header of the last message sent on
Sunday?  Think Mr. Dell would approve of such waste of
company time and tactics?  Think the U.S. Attorney or
Yahoo would be as amused as this writer?  Regardless,
thanks for the laugh and additional fodder for the
website.  Am deeply grateful.  ... Never a dull
moment.

Dear Mr. DeRosier:

The following ignored snail-mailed letter to Mr. Dell
has been published in the last two editions of The
Llano Ledger.  Readers are entitled to know precisely
how Mr. Notebook and Dell Computer do business.
Indeed, a public service.  Will continue to be posted
weekly for months.  -- Until I get tired of it.

At that time, a new webpage on The Ledger website will
be created.  All correspondence between Mr. Notebook
as well as Dell "Support" and this writer will be
posted.  -- Again, the readership has the right to know
exactly how both companies operate.  … Particularly,
how poor "support" is at both firms.

Should your attorneys decide to sue, by all means do
so.  With an exceptionally corrupt and abusive court
system, Dell indeed would likely prevail.  Regardless
of the truth.  After all, your multi-billion dollar
corporation can easily financially impose its will.
Would be an empty victory for several reasons,
however.

First, would fully publicly demonstrate precisely how
abusive and repressive a powerful corporate entity can
be, -- ultimately costing market share.  After all,
why buy Dell when you can purchase HP, -- a company
far more attentive to customer concerns and
complaints?

Second, would certainly publicly expose Dell "Support"
for being inept, unresponsive, and profoundly
obfuscating.  Sadly, -- the number one problem in the
view of product users.   … Again, costing market
share.

Third, a suit would bring this publication additional
recognition nationally.  With readership exponentially
expanding, can only further aid and assist, no?

Fourth, should Dell prevail, this publication has no
assets, -- other than the piece of trash this message
is typed on.  Remember?  The supposedly "factory
refurbished" Latitude Mr. Notebook fraudulently sold
as rebuilt?

Fifth, this writer has no assets. Certainly, "judgment
proof", so to speak.  The truth regarding this entire
fiasco would come out in court for all to see,
regardless of whether or not Dell uses its
considerable assets to buy a favorable, self-serving
outcome.

So, should your legal beagles choose to file suit,
bring it on.  … Hardball?  You bet.  Can only wonder
how many others have had to put up with this same
crap, or worse.  While they had no options, this
publication certainly does.  Can indeed expose it to
the light of day.

Bottom line, Mr. DeRosier, is the fact the office of
the CEO has not had the courtesy nor seen fit to
answer the enclosed letter, preferring to stonewall.
-- Or possibly never received the letter at all.

… Could have been conveniently intercepted by a crony
in the Dell mail department?  After all, you knew full
well it was coming.  Nothing less than a response from
the office of the CEO is acceptable.

If his office indeed received the correspondence, it
is glaringly indifferent to unresolved customer
complaints.  Has apparently refused to right the wrong
regardless of legal culpability or lack thereof.

Certainly, aggressively stupid since you've already
likely lost more in sales than it would have cost to
correct the problem.  Corporate image is priceless,
isn't it, or has Dell Computer indeed grown too fat
and complacent to care?  -- Or is this merely a matter
of one Dell employee desperately trying to cover his
ass and/or that of his department?

Sincerely,

Letter To Dell CEO

Michael Dell
Chief Executive Officer
Dell Computers
One Dell Way
Round Rock, TX  78682

August 18, 2002

Dear Mr. Dell:

A Dell factory refurbished Latitude was purchased from Mr. Notebook by [redacted] of [redacted] and donated to this non-profit publication about a year ago.  Despite a nearly $900 expenditure, this machine has been a piece of trash since purchase.  Support from Mr. Notebook was non-existent.  Sadly, Dell Support was not much better.

Clearly, after a year's worth of problems, factory "refurbished" does not mean factory "rebuilt".  Apparently, the hard disk, floppy, and CD drives were never replaced.  -- The most likely sources of product failure.  In addition, the supposedly replaced lithium-ion battery module has a design flaw.  Although the machine has always been run on AC power and the battery maintained at 100% charge, intelligence circuitry in the module failed, rendering the battery worthless.  -- Coincidentally occurred during the latest email foray with Dell Support regarding floppy disk failure.  … Aren't I lucky?  Incredibly blessed?

All that was requested from Dell Support this time around, however, was a pointer to diagnostics that would have pinpointed the problem with the floppy drive.  … Not absolutely sure yet whether the failure lies only in the drive itself, or may also involve the socket and possibly bugs in drivers common to both the floppy and CD ROM drives.  Sadly, the CD ROM has never worked flawlessly either and has had occasional problems of reliability.  … At least, it's still working, however.  Unlike the floppy.

While Dell Support indeed provided a pointer to diagnostics, the download ironically requires use of boot disk and floppy.  Indeed, a problem of not being able to get from here to there.  When pointed out to Support, received no further assistance, -- just an outrageous run around.  … Despite assurances on the Dell website such email support supposedly exists for life of the product.

Mr. Dell, I can certainly understand you cannot be aware of all problems within a large corporation.  You do, however, have unaddressed flaws with "refurbished" machines sold by disreputable vendors fraudulently and phonily invoking Dell corporate name, image, and prestige, and more importantly, horrendous problems with a totally unresponsive Dell Support division.  No question, it is doing damage to corporate public image and reputation.  Sadly, although your machines are extremely popular, the greatest problem I've heard from users is lack of support.  Can certainly attest to that from personal experience.

Support outrageously refused to provide an email address for your office, -- unlike HP and other corporations more responsive to unresolved customer problems and complaints.  … An email address would have certainly provided an easy practical way of sending the entire email exchange over the last year.  Would have sorely indicated glaring obfuscation, non-responsiveness, and interminable intentional delay.  Hard to believe you're unaware.  Than again, Dell Corporation could apparently care less.

Mr. Notebook sold the Latitude as a Dell factory refurbished machine, supposedly tested by Dell-trained technicians, clearly so indicated on the bottom of the computer.  Again, the floppy, CD, and hard drives apparently were never replaced.  The most likely components to fail.   Since factory refurbished clearly does not mean factory rebuilt, the computer is no more than a used machine.  … A machine that could have been bought for half the price at a resale shop.  Even less if purchased privately.  With the price of new notebooks precipitously dropping recently to the $900 range and technically capable of running circles around this dinosaur, assuredly have no intention of dumping additional money into this piece of trash.

Mr. Notebook, on the day of purchase, claimed this machine to be factory refurbished.  Repeatedly made the claim.  Clearly, it was not.  Mr. Notebook quickly washed its hands of this lemon, failing to answer follow-up correspondence from this publication regarding product failure shortly after purchase.  Have no intention of wasting additional time and effort haggling further with Mr. Notebook, -- other than to publish an investigative article exposing this entire fiasco.  After all, the public is entitled to know exactly how business was done.

Due to several serious problems never corrected by Dell or Mr. Notebook since purchase of this falsely alleged Dell factory refurbished product, however, can honestly say at this point I would never again purchase a Dell computer, -- new, used, or "factory refurbished".  From anyone.  Certainly would never encourage others to purchase Dell either.  Indeed, why take the risk and put up with the hassle?

Regardless of whether or not Dell Corporation is technically or legally responsible for fraudulent claims made by a vendor of Dell machines, the damage done to corporate image is indeed severe nonetheless.  The lack of competent support and assistance from Dell Corporation in the matter is stunning.  Certainly, costly in terms of good faith and product loyalty lost.  Regardless of legal responsibility.

Have enclosed the last few emails from Support upper management refusing to provide an email address for your office and highly indicative and glaringly demonstrative of ongoing obfuscation over the last year.  Little more than canned, computer-generated messages containing phony platitudes and false concern designed to obfuscate and stonewall rather than provide technical assistance or resolution.  Apparently, the problem is top-down, since tone and substance of upper management Support is no different than that of lower level techs.  Although unquestionably a public service, have held off publishing an investigative article until I hear from your office.

Sincerely,

Fraudulent Deletion Of Ledger Websites

A letter To Burnet County Sheriff Joe Pollock has been posted recently.  Access it by clicking here.

As promised, the letter of complaint sent to Burnet County Judge Martin McLean, regarding fraudulent Ledger Maxpages and Stormpages site deletions originating from the Burnet County Library System and resulting in the ejection of this writer from library computers, has finally been posted.  Readers are reminded this is not the end of the matter.  Just the beginning.  For ongoing coverage of the criminal attacks as well as the letter to the Judge sent in response, click here.

Klee's Kaleidoscope

Be sure to click on Klee's Kaleidoscope for Harvey Klee's latest edition.  This publication is a forum for a diversity of viewpoints. All are encouraged to submit material.

An Honest Business

A rare commodity, honest businesses need a plug.  Although this publication receives no financial remuneration or funding of any kind from Mike's Transmission, this writer has personally known the owner of this new business quite some time and has enormous respect for his integrity.  Mike has had years of experience working on transmissions, -- foreign and domestic, standard and automatic.  This guy has heart and takes enormous pride in his work.  Give him a call at 915-423-1694.  The business is in the process of being launched.  If you like the quality of service, let me know.  Better yet, ask him to send a donation to the Ledger.

Unbridled Fear

As strongly asserted in the last 76 editions, gut-wrenching fear generated by the Narcotics Enforcement Team is quite impressive. After all, these Nazi stormtroopers not only outrageously intimidate defendants and their gutless attorneys, but even innocent third parties who have suffered at their corrupt and abusive hands.

Recently, a source came forward with allegations regarding the death of a loved one under exceptionally curious circumstances. Sadly, the survivor got cold feet.

Most pointedly and quite publicly, how in hell do you expect these abuses to end if you don't have the guts to stand up and expose them to the light of day?

Every time a source cowardly runs the other way, the corrupt and abusive sons of bitches win. Every g-ddamned time. Worse yet, another nail is driven into the coffin of liberty.

If you don't have the courage to stand up and do the right thing, why should this writer continue to place himself in physical and legal jeopardy trying to expose the outrageous corruption and abuse?
