Secretary of State Colin Powell returned from the Middle East having accomplished nothing other than further angering Arabs and clearly demonstrating the United States is not an honest broker in the peace process.  Even-handedness is not, has not, and apparently will never be part of the equation.  Consequently, there will be no quick resolution to the continued violence.  U.S. credibility in the Arab world is at an all-time low.

The "President" naively expected to snap his fingers, foolishly thinking his lack of political capital in the Muslim world nonetheless sufficient to force change and an end to suicide bombings.  -- Particularly ludicrous, as Mr. Bush and his henchmen have remained totally disengaged from the Middle East since being appointed to office by the Supreme Court.

Possessing no F-16s nor any other advanced weapons as provided the Israelis by their American benefactors, the Palestinians feel forced to engage in terror in a desperate attempt to rid themselves of their equally barbaric oppressors.  Since the jackass occupying the White House is unwilling to risk political payback from a strong Israeli lobby, the "President" will not use $3 billion in yearly "welfare" assistance to the state of Israel as a club.

Bottom line?  If you are a poverty-stricken woman in the United States with children, you get shamelessly screwed by the GOP regarding public assistance and admonished to get a minimum wage job with no healthcare.  More importantly, you are strongly counseled to get married, -- or at the very least keep your legs crossed.  Conversely, if you are a barbaric state hell-bent on killing innocent Palestinians, bulldozing down their homes with them inside, you get to stay securely attached, suckling a $3 billion taxpayer-funded government teat.  … While greedy Republicans laugh their portly asses off all the way to the bank, and phonily thank the Lord for their good fortune on bended knee every Sunday in church.   -- 'Ain't' hypocrisy grand?

At a recent Virginia Military Institute speech to cadets, the "President" reiterated his intention to "confront" the "axis of evil", --Iraq, Iran, and North Korea.  What is not clear, however, is how the "Chief Executive" intends to go about it.

… With or without a declaration of war, Mr. "President"?  -- If "necessary" or "expedient", will you initiate an undeclared war with all three countries should you not receive congressional support and/or approval of any kind?

… What will you do should the Chinese respond to any American military attack on North Korea?  When body bags return and the public turns against your self-serving "crusade", what consolation will you offer grieving families whose loved ones died merely to enrich defense contractors as well as advance your fascist agenda and evisceration of liberties?

The "President's" true colors were again made glaringly evident earlier last week.  Mr. Bush has no true commitment to democracy, nor any regard or respect for the principles of liberty.  The government of Venezuela was duly elected by its citizens.  Apparently, Ole' George "The Tush" Bush and his equally fascist cronies weren't particularly happy with its president, Hugo Chavez.  Probably was considered too far to the left by Mr. Bush and his henchmen.  Also, Mr. Chavez wasn't particularly fond of the U.S.. Outrageously, the "Chief Executive" seemed to support the overthrow of Mr. Chavez and ludicrously denied it was a military coup.  Ole' George, quickly recognizing the enormity of the gaffe, quickly tried to regroup on the issue.   Especially, since Mr. Chavez returned to office some two days after being deposed.  … Who'd a 'thunk' it, no?

The damage, however, was done and the reaction across Latin America has been remarkably pointed.  As well it should be.  The United States has a well-earned reputation for putting its nose where it does not belong.  Going so far as to overthrow leftist governments.  Has also supported brutally barbaric, murderous regimes such as that of Augusto Pinochet in Chile.  Pinochet indeed was a bona fide Nazi.  Responsible for the disappearance, torture, and deaths of countless numbers of Chilean citizens.  Didn't stop the United States from aiding and abetting the son of a bitch, though.

Be interesting to see if the "Administration" is investigated for its possible participation and/or support of the Venezuelan coup.  Time for the Democrats to get off their portly asses and begin taking a close look at "Administration" excesses.  All of them.  Before it is too late.  -- Before the "President" further eviscerates whatever little liberty still remains in this country.

In a deliberate effort to implement the "Patriot" Act's evisceration of the Bill of Rights, INS Commissioner James W. Ziglar ordered state and local governments to withhold the identities of "detainees" unconstitutionally held since 9/11.  Habeas corpus?  Charges?  No longer necessary in fascist America.  Mr. Ziglar ludicrously claimed release of such information would compromise national security and endanger the "detainees".

Would be laughable if not so glaringly tragic.  The "detainees" are endangered by their incarceration at the hands of government thugs who have outrageously mistreated and physically abused them in more than just a few cases.  Worst of all, habeas corpus no longer exists.  … The government is holding people for months with no charges being filed, no access to attorneys, no hearing in front of a judge.  Wake up, friends.  Think it only happens to foreigners?

The ACLU is desperately trying to access "detainees" to provide assistance and assess their treatment at the hands of government goons.  Referring to the INS order, Newark Chapter ACLU Executive Director Deborah Jacobs strongly asserted:  "This is the government codifying its right to secretly arrest and detain people."  Commenting further regarding Attorney General John Ashcroft, she accused him of "showing his total disregard for the state court ruling.  This guy is totally out of control. It's something more likely to happen in Afghanistan or some other lawless country."

That's right.  What we have here is Nazism.  -- A total disregard of the Bill of Rights.  … The INS Director did not act on his own.  Had to have been directed to do so by the fascist heading the "Justice" Department at the behest of the "President".  The silence of the American people at this terrible travesty of justice is appalling.  Sadly, the public is aggressively stupid, has its collective head securely lodged up a bodily orifice seldom seeing the light of day, and most importantly, has absolutely no understanding or appreciation of this dangerous threat to liberty.  … To all of us.

Due process no longer exists in the United States.  Government can freeze financial assets without court order.  With no judicial hearing.  No right of those victimized to challenge corrupt and abusive government goons in court before their funds are frozen.  … As a result, cleverly denied access to funds necessary to pay for legal representation.  -- Exactly what Nazi government wants.  Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill, in direct contradiction to his oath of office haughtily crowed: "Today we block the finances of an assortment of terrorists involved in financing and carrying out bombings, kidnappings and murder.  We will continue to expose and shut down these thugs wherever we find them."

No, Mr. O'Neill, quite the contrary.  It is you and your fellow fascists in the Bush "Administration" who are the "thugs", sir.  You have absolutely no regard for the rule of law and the Constitution.  None.  In fact, you create "law" as you go along.  Depriving your victims Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendment rights in the process.  Again, in direct contradiction to your oaths of office.  The ends have justified the means.  You, sir, and your colleagues belong in prison.  You act in deliberate disregard for civil liberties, constitutional rights, and the best traditions this country used to stand for.   Shamefully, a glaringly corrupt and abusive judiciary and an extremely cowardly public have gone along.  Sieg Heil.

The Bush "Administration" has glaringly failed in its interrogation of some 300 "detainees" in Guantanamo Bay to develop evidence any of them engaged in war crimes.  What to do?  Conveniently, move the goal posts.  Mr. Bush and his henchmen are considering implementing a new "legal doctrine" that would enable "detainees" to be brought before tribunals despite no specific evidence they committed traditional war crimes.  All that would be necessary is to be an al Qaeda officer or senior member involved in the "mistreatment" of civilians.  The jackass occupying the White House will of course determine the definition of "mistreatment".  Mr. Bush and his equally fascist cronies have disgraced themselves, betrayed their oaths of office,  and clearly demonstrated American "justice" is no more than kangaroo in nature.  Not surprisingly, "detainees" have been uncooperative with their captors and have refused to answer questions, -- or provided false information.  … So what else is new?

That's right.  Who'd a 'thunk' it, no?  All joking aside, Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz stood courageously tall at a pro-Israeli rally held at the Capitol April 15.  Mr. Wolfowitz was rudely interrupted and booed by an aggressively stupid public when he reminded the crowd Palestinians have also been victimized by violence in the Middle East:  "innocent Palestinians are suffering and dying as well. It is critical that we recognize and acknowledge that fact."

Yes, Mr. Secretary, they have and will continue to.  Precisely why the "Chief Executive" ought to be making similar remarks publicly and aggressively holding barbaric Israeli goons responsible for carnage inflicted on innocent Palestinian civilians as their houses were bulldozed with them inside.  Where in hell is the outrage of the jackass occupying the White House?  Apparently, he is too damned busy wearing phony "religion" on his sleeve, desperately trying to force it on others.

In an effort to stifle all dissent, the Fascist Right is challenging the charitable status of Left Wing liberal groups.  Frontiers of Freedom, a fascist think tank, recently filed a nine-page complaint against the Natural Resources Defense Council.  Apparently, the Right cannot win the ideology battle and has resorted to using the Internal Revenue Service to obliterate groups threatening its fascist agenda.  Certainly demonstrates the insecurity and fear engendered as the country begins to challenge Nazis disingenuously masquerading as "conservatives".

If Frontiers of Freedom was truly concerned with misuse of IRS codes, it would aggressively challenge tax-exempt status of nearly all churches in the United States.  Most of whom have egregiously violated IRS charitable organization regulations precluding political activity.  Examples?  Turn the boob tube on Sunday mornings and watch the "religious" programming.

In response to aggressive action taken by groups such as Frontiers of Freedom, the Center and Left should start doing the same to churches and televangelists, suckering church-goers and viewers for money while shamelessly promulgating a fascist agenda highly sympathetic to the jackass occupying the White House and his henchmen.  … Laughing their portly asses off all the way to the bank.  Indeed, turn around is fair play.  Time to challenge the hypocrisy.  Now.

Readers will recall Illinois Gov. George Ryan declared a moratorium on capital punishment and created a bipartisan commission to look into the matter.  Finally, a report was released April 15 recommending 85 ways to reduce the number of unwarranted executions.  A narrow majority called for its abolition.  Most importantly, it concluded: "No system, given human nature and frailties, could ever be devised or constructed that would work perfectly and guarantee absolutely that no innocent person is ever again sentenced to death."   Precisely why it must be abolished.  Now.   Despite strong opposition from the "Religious" Right to ending capital punishment, even one innocent prisoner put to death is one too many.  Must never be forgotten those strongest in support of this continuing outrageous barbarism are also firm believers in the sick puppy who wrote Leviticus calling for the stoning of prostitutes, adulterers, and gays.

Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch is no happy camper regarding strong opposition efforts to stall Bush judicial appointments by groups such as Community Rights Counsel (CRC): "These outside groups are vicious. They don't care about the quality of the bench, they care about the ideology of the bench."   … Hey, Senator?  Precisely due to outrageous fascist nominees, the quality of the bench has been directly and glaringly called into question.  Unless mainstream appointees are sent to the Senate, the impasse will continue as it must.  Otherwise, we'll have a judiciary more Nazi and unjust than it already is.  … Pointedly legislating its perverse "religious" and "moral" views from the bench.

Once again, a Right Wing extremist organization is shamelessly putting out propaganda falsely asserting marriage is the only structure protecting women and children from domestic abuse and violent crime.   The Heritage Foundation shamelessly demonstrated its heavy bias towards the "Religious" Right, distorting "social science data" to achieve its ends.  One must always closely look at the source of data, i.e. who is conducting the studies and agenda, hidden or otherwise.  Pointedly, when will these fascists finally wake up and accept the fact there are other valid, viable living arrangements in addition to traditional marriage?

Surprisingly, U.S. District Judge Reena Raggi refused to order a prosecution-requested gag order in the Abner Louima police torture case.  Why should former police officer Charles Schwarz receive any special treatment not afforded ordinary criminal thugs?  … Remarkably, yet another time the judiciary has stood up for the First Amendment and equal treatment of defendants.

In an effort to further eviscerate the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments, the "President" of the United States is proposing a "victims' rights" amendment that would read:  "The rights of victims of violent crime, being capable of protection without denying the constitutional rights of those accused of victimizing them, are hereby established and shall not be denied by any state or the United States."

Simply because the proposed amendment haughtily asserts the rights of the accused would not be abridged doesn't mean they would not be.  Sadly, egregiously so.  Many of them innocent.  True victims of corrupt and abusive prosecutors and law enforcement.  Readers are advised the proposed amendment had already been previously approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee last year, never reaching the floor due to threat of filibuster.  For good reason.  A  police state has already been established with "judges" constantly legislating their fascist views from the bench.  Adding insult to injury, the "Patriot" Act has outrageously become the crown jewel of the Extreme Right,  recently signed into law by the jackass occupying the White House.  A "victims' rights" amendment would be icing on the cake.

How many more innocent people would be falsely imprisoned and/or executed as a result?   -- Additional easy notches on the belt of glaringly corrupt and abusive prosecutors and law enforcement.  Mr. Bush, however, disingenuously whined:  "Behind each of these numbers is a terrible trauma, a story of suffering and a story of lost security. Yet the needs of victims are often an afterthought in our criminal justice system.  It's not just, it's not fair, and it must change.''  … Hey, George?  Remove your head from a bodily orifice seldom seeing the light of day and smell the coffee.  Want to know what's not "just" or "fair"?

-- Thirty-Third Judicial District Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) thugs lining their pockets through manufacture and distribution of methampetamine, outrageous planting of evidence on truly innocent people, legalized theft of vehicles NOT previously used by their former owners for illicit drug activity NOR obtained through drug profits, demotion instead of firing of an outrageously corrupt and abusive former co-commander for repeatedly failing drug urinalyses and getting caught having had sex with a female officer at a time his wife was about to give birth.
 

Why was the son of a bitch protected by District Attorney Sam "The Sham" Oatman?  Simple.  Ole' Sam has to take care of his own.  After all, this criminal officer had too much on his equally corrupt and abusive fellow officers.  Looking for victims, Mr. "President"?  Look a little harder, George.   Sadly, not one of scores of credible sources had the guts to allow publication of their name.  Not one.  All cowardly afraid of retribution from these Nazi thugs.  Precisely why nothing will change.

Henchmen of the "President" still disingenuously defend egregious evisceration of patient privacy rights by the jackass occupying the White House.  Deputy Secretary for Department of Health and Human Services declared privacy "impractical" and hampering medical care.  … This coming from an "Administration" which supposedly doesn't think government knows best, wanting to get it out of the hair of the people.  A shameless crock of crap by a lying hypocrite.  Apparently Ole' George and his henchmen don't believe citizens capable of making decisions for themselves.  Therefore Die Fuhrer will make them for us.  Sieg Heil.

Outrageously Aryan arrogant, the Deputy Secretary pompously crowed:  "We put ourselves in the shoes of the patient and we discovered that the rule was not practical for patients, their doctors or pharmacists."  Is that right, you jackass?  Who the hell are you to eviscerate Fourth Amendment privacy rights and presume to speak for patients?   While Senator Kennedy is a small fraction of the man his brothers were, was certainly quite correct when he called the proposal "a serious step backwards" and strongly asserted consent "is the only way to assure that patients -- and only patients -- control sensitive information.  It restores faith in the health care system."  That's right, Senator.  The "President" and his fascist henchmen could care less, preferring to cater to the needs of the medical lobby at the expense of patients.

The Senate wisely put an end to the "Administration's" plan to allow drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, -- at least for this year.  The measure was rejected 54 to 46.  The GOP needed 60 votes to win since it would have been an amendment to the energy bill, but couldn't even attain a simple majority.  Amusingly, 8 Republicans turned on the jackass occupying the White House and voted with Democrats and Independent Sen. James Jeffords.   … Must have sent a chill up the spine of the "Administration".   The "President" and his sidekick, "Slick" Dick Cheney couldn't be particularly happy campers since their mentors in Big Oil didn't get their way.  Be interesting to see when the measure finally passes.  -- And in all likelihood it will, since energy companies will spare no lobbying expense to line the pockets of greedily corrupt legislators.  The environment?  What the hell's that?  More importantly, who cares?

Shouldn't feel too sorry for the energy industry in the meantime, however.  The "President" has given his all (no pun intended) to Big Oil since occupying the White House.  Saved it billions at the expense of clean air when he refused to impose new carbon dioxide standards back in March of last year.  Should the energy bill pass as presently crafted, the energy industry will receive billions more in subsidies and tax breaks.  Outrageous corporate welfare.  Then again, the "President" is a Republican and has to take care of his own.  Think taxpayers will get a break?  How?  The "Chief Executive" has refused to renew the Superfund.  Consequently, the energy industry will not be forced to clean up after itself.  Taxpayers will.  Enjoy.

Having just won the prestigious PEN First Amendment Award and $25,000 for standing up against an abusive prosecutor and for the First Amendment, Vanessa Leggett lost her appeal before a Nazi U.S. Supreme Court April 15.  Leggett had been falsely and unconstitutionally incarcerated more than five months for refusing to turn over research notes protected by First Amendment guarantees of a free press.  Apparently, the fascists haughtily sitting on the Supreme Court have little to no respect for the Bill of Rights.  With no truly free media, government corruption and abuse will only worsen.  Exactly, what the courts, law enforcement, and the White House desperately seek.   Corrupt and abusive prosecutors have threatened to force the issue and may again incarcerate her.

Remember ACLU defense of free speech rights of Neo Nazis during the Sixties?   While terribly disturbing, it was exactly the right thing to do.  After all, if these misfits were not allowed to freely speak, who would be next?  The First Amendment was not designed to protect "popular" or "acceptable" expression.  Such speech needs no protection.  It is speech wildly unpopular the Founders had in mind when this most precious right was crafted as the first of ten inalienable in the Bill of Rights.

It does have limitations, however.  Rightfully so.  For example, one cannot lawfully verbally threaten someone or yell "Fire" in a theater.  Things become immeasurably more difficult and complicated when creative expression is involved.  Although "pornography" is technically illegal and not protected, it is extremely difficult to define and prosecute.  The Supreme Court has rightfully been loathe to limit free expression.  Consequently, there have been relatively few successful prosecutions for obscenity.  ... One person's porn is another's art.  "Community standards" are difficult to define and vary widely from community to community.  -- Further making obscenity laws that much harder to enforce.

While the Fascist Right, in an effort to impose its perversely rigid standards on all, would remove all "objectionable" material from media, the Supreme Court and lower courts have wisely ruled against such blatant censorship.  After all, it is none of the business of either the "Religious" Right nor the courts to impose their views of sexual morality on or between consenting adults.  ... The operant phrase being "consenting adults".  Regarding child porn, however, the courts have rightfully aggressively enforced kiddie porn statutes.  A no-brainer, children must be protected against such outrageous abuse.  Predators who prey on them must be totally and forever isolated from society.  The damage done is permanent and pervades every aspect of the victim's life.

Predators cannot be "cured" and the chance of recidivism is extremely high.  Precisely why such individuals must be incarcerated for the rest of their lives.  To protect the innocent.  The thought of an adult having "sex" with a third grader is perversely sickening.  So is the demand for child porn.  The government has rightfully prosecuted purveyors and producers of such material.  Again, the damage to children used as "models" and "actors" is enormous.  Precisely why law enforcement went after the demand side of the business as well.

Now, however, technology has made it possible to computer-generate images and videos involving no use of live "models".  Reportedly, the material is so life-like it cannot apparently be distinguished from the real thing.  Last week, a normally fascist Supreme Court ruled such computer-generated material is "artistic expression" and protected by the First Amendment.  -- A disturbing decision that outraged the Fascist Right and U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft in particular.

If there is any silver lining to this decision, it is the fact purveyors of child porn will in all likelihood revert to computer-generated material rather than risk prosecution.  Thus sparing children such direct abuse.  Most disturbing of all is whether or not such artificially produced material will whet the sick appetites of pedophiles and incite further abuse.  Studies over the last 35 years have clearly demonstrated pornography depicting consenting adults has not increased the level of sexual assault.  Hopefully, the same will apply to computer-generated child porn.  If not, the Supreme Court will be forced to re-address the issue in the future.

Desperate to firmly establish a fascist police state, in briefs to the Supreme Court, the Bush "Administration" appealed a lower court ruling declaring outrageous police conduct during a drug search on board a Greyhound bus in 1999 unconstitutional.  Mr. Bush and his equally fascist Solicitor General, Theodore Olson, do not believe people harassed by law enforcement have the right to be warned by those officers of their constitutional rights, particularly the right NOT to cooperate.  -- In an environment deliberately designed to be highly intimidating and coercive and despite glaringly phoney claims to the contrary by the Solicitor General: "The officers showed no weapons, spoke politely and quietly with the passengers, and said nothing that might convey the message that cooperation was mandatory."

… Hey, Teddy baby?  Body language and behavior of the three Nazi government thugs alone conveyed the message cooperation  was required.  One goon knelt backward on the driver's seat, glaring at the passengers.  The other two thugs worked from the back forward deliberately intimidating riders, asking about their plans and possessions.  It's none of their g-ddamned business.  None.  This is supposed to be the United States, not Nazi Germany.

Attorneys for two passengers subsequently arrested on drug charges strongly asserted: "A reasonable passenger could not ignore the 'in your face' show of authority which officers employed in this case.  The officers chose and exploited a coercive environment in which they knew they were most likely to get the consent they sought."  Exactly right.  Precisely the goal of police goons.  A violation of the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.

Recent passage of the "Patriot" Act decimated the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments as strongly implied by the Solicitor General: "In the current environment, [such searches] may ... become an important part of preventing other forms of criminal activity that involve travel on the nation's system of public transportation"  … So the hell with the Fourth and Fifth Amendments, right, Teddy Boy?

That's right.  Mr. Rumsfeld continues to defend the jailing of U.S. citizen Yasser Esam Hamdi in a Navy brig, despite the fact the government will not prosecute due to a lack of evidence.  Disingenuously, the Defense Secretary crowed: "The idea that he's being held indefinitely — as though he's now in his fifth year — of course is just silliness.  We've had him a relatively short period of time."  Is that right, Donny?  Held for months with no charges filed, no attorney, no court hearing, your idea of habeas corpus and due process?  Sounds exactly like what it truly is:  Nazi police-state tactics and the deliberate evisceration of Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendment Rights.  Bill of Rights?  What the hell is that, right, Mr. Secretary?  Sieg Heil.  Unadulterated Nazism outrageously imposed by the Bush "Administration".

The Center For Constitutional Rights has brought suit against U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft and other officials for widespread abuse of hundreds of Middle Eastern "detainees".   -- Men who have had the crap beaten out of them by Nazi thugs masquerading as prison guards.  Teeth have been loosened, prisoners beaten to unconsciousness, strip-searched repeatedly, denied the right to practice their religion, or even possess eyeglasses, denied access to attorneys, as well as habeas corpus hearings in court.  Pointedly, these people have been held for months without being charged.  The Supreme Court-appointed Nazi occupying the White House and his fascist henchmen are directly responsible.

After all, these Nazi stormtroopers not only outrageously intimidate defendants and their gutless attorneys, but even innocent third parties who have suffered at their corrupt and abusive hands.

Recently, a source came forward with allegations regarding the death of a loved one under exceptionally curious circumstances. Sadly, the survivor got cold feet.

Most pointedly and quite publicly, how in hell do you expect these abuses to end if you don't have the guts to stand up and expose them to the light of day?

Every time a source cowardly runs the other way, the corrupt and abusive sons of bitches win. Every g-ddamned time. Worse yet, another nail is driven into the coffin of liberty.

If you don't have the courage to stand up and do the right thing, why should this writer continue to place himself in physical and legal jeopardy trying to expose the outrageous corruption and abuse?
