*****Enron Fallout*****

Sadly, "President" George "The Tush" Bush has once again demonstrated he and the GOP are indeed the champions of big business and the rich. While there is yet no evidence "The Tush" and his equally fascist henchmen are guilty of improper conduct regarding Enron, the "President" and his closest advisors nonetheless remained deafeningly silent. -- As rank and file Enron employees were about to lose 401(k) pension benefits while top management apparently cashed in some $1 billion in stock options. Clearly, the American way, no? While Enron executives greedily lined their pockets, employees were forbidden to liquidate their 401(k) stock. Interesting, isn't it?

While capitalism is indeed the very best system to live under, it must be tempered and regulated. -- To prevent the very excesses that happened recently as Enron went bankrupt. "Conservatives" disingenuously and falsely claim the "market place rules". Nonsense. Utter nonsense. Especially in the Enron case where employees were not "free" to sell their 401(k) stock. Other egregious cases in point? Telephone industry deregulation as well as healthcare.

What "free" market? Especially in the medical industry. The sick, dying, and those in severe pain will spend anything and everything in a desperate effort to attain relief and/or one more day of life. ... A most captive audience, no? Greedy providers outrageously prey on those least able to protect themselves. Again, as American as mom and apple pie.

Clearly, the supposedly "free" market is owned by those with the financial means to impose their will. Precisely what a fascist "President" and his cronies are desperately trying to capitalize on. Literally. Working definition of fascism? An abusive and dangerous oligarchy based on a pernicious blend of government, big business, and religion. ... A boot-heel cynically placed on the throat of the masses, justified in principle by perversion and bastardization of religion.

Think Ole' George truly cares about the masses? Despite phoney blubbering, crocodile tears, and "compassionate" "conservatism"? The jackass occupying the White House apparently received over $500,000 in contributions from Enron and its executives. ... Couldn't have bought any influence, could it? After all, the "President" is a "Christian", isn't he? And wouldn't do anything illegal or immoral, would he? Our Nazi U.S. Attorney General received some $50,000 from Enron in his recent unsuccessful Senate re-election bid. ... Like "The Tush", couldn't be influenced, could he?

Nothing quite like having the fox guard the chicken coop, either. Precisely what the "Justice" Department intends to do with the appointment of a career federal prosecutor to "investigate" the collapse of Enron. Think Joshua Hochberg will fairly enforce the law? In the hot politically charged atmosphere of Washington and with a "President" stratospherically high in the polls?

*****Recess Appointments*****

Frustrated in an attempt to seat Eugene Scalia and Otto Reich, the jackass occupying the Oval Office signed recess appointments for his two dear cronies. Scalia is the son of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. The younger Scalia's appointment as solicitor of the Labor Department is apparently payback for the elder's appointment of Bush as "President" after the stolen election.

Eugene Scalia is not qualified for the position. He has represented employers in labor disputes and has virtually no experience as counsel for aggrieved employees. Equally pointedly, he has demonstrated no caring or concern for labor or ergonomic issues. None. The Labor Department was commissioned to serve employees. Think this unabashed fascist, highly supportive of his Nazi father, will fairly enforce labor law? ... Precisely why the "President" appointed him.

Reich was highly supportive of former President Reagan's illegal support of the Contras in Nicaragua in the 1980's. Remember Iran-Contra and the trading of arms for hostages? Both Reagan and his Vice President, former President George H. Bush, lied like hell, yet avoided impeachment and removal from office. ... In the United States, one can be president or vice president, break federal law, and yet escape consequences if the action was intended to fight communism. Sieg Heil.

There will be a high political price to be paid by the "President" and his cronies, however, for the recess appointments. They are good only for one year and can be rescinded any time by the Senate. Be interesting to see how Ole' George fairs on other appointments he's desperately trying to ram through. ... Outraged senators are already privately promising payback. Right on. Stick it to 'em.

*****Threat Estimates******

Don't confuse the "President" with the facts, no? A new study, the National Intelligence Estimate, strongly asserts the U.S. is far more vulnerable to attack from planes, trucks, and ships than ballistic missiles. Won't stop Ole' George from lining the pockets of his cronies in the defense industry chomping at the bit to provide missile "defense". Duh.

*****Detainees Not Covered By Geneva Convention*****

According to the "President" and his henchmen, al Qaeda and Taliban prisoners are not covered by the Geneva Convention. Interesting, isn't it? Might seriously backfire on the jackass occupying the White House, however. Or one of his successors. In future wars, captured American soldiers may pay the price for Ole' George's glaring lack of foresight. Then again, what else can be expected from a narrow-minded appointee of a fascist U.S. Supreme Court?

*****Justice?*****

Anser Mehmood has been held by federal authorities at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City since October 3. He has not been charged. Doesn't have to be. The Patriot Act decimated the Bill of Rights, including habeas corpus. Just as our Nazi "President" intended. Mehmood is being held on an immigration violation. ... He may have overstayed his welcome and was apparently working without proper documentation. Has been denied bond. Why? Pointedly, if he's a persona non grata, why not simply deport the bastard? Can't have that, now, can we? Readers are reminded he is accused of no crime and is not suspected as a terrorist. ... Think it won't happen to American citizens? Sieg Heil.

*****Profiling?*****

Remember San Antonio Dr. Al-Badr Al-Hazmi and his jailing for 12 days on no charges as reported earlier on this website? The physician was innocent and released. Seems the American government still can't get its act together, however. The Saudi Arabian doctor flew home to his native country. Upon returning to the United States, his papers were falsely declared unacceptable and he was forced to fly back to Saudi Arabia. The American government finally solved the problem and he was allowed to return. Nothing quite like profiling and kangaroo justice, no?

*****Supreme Court Raises Bar On Executions*****

That's right. Amazing, isn't it? The Court ruled 5-4 juries can be advised by convicted murders they are ineligible for parole under life sentences. About time. Why shouldn't jurors be aware when a "life" sentence is indeed a life sentence? The Fascist Right, however, aren't happy campers. The Ruling will result in less executions. Can't have that, can we? Sadly, legalized murder, no more than revenge, has become bloodsport for the "Christian" Right. ... After all, it's "biblical", isn't it?

*****Child Abuse*****

Child abuse is alive and well in Monticello, Mo.. Remember the cases reported in an earlier edition regarding the Heartland Christian Academy? Students were beaten and forced to wallow in manure pits. One had his eardrum broken. Justice? What the hell's that? Nothing has been done. All "biblical", though. -- According to school officials.

Imagine they'd still call for stoning of adulterers, gays, and prostitutes? After all, stoning is "biblical" too, isn't it? ... And the "Word of God", right? Certainly not the perverse writing of the dismally uninspired sick puppy who wrote Leviticus. Ever wonder how many have needlessly suffered and died as a result of this seriously disturbed bastard? ... "But it's 'biblical'!", fervently whine heartlessly perverse "Christian" bigots. Sieg Heil.

*****Wisconsin Judge Voids Faith-Based Initiative*****

In a blow to the "President's" "faith-based" initiative, federal Judge Barbara B. Crabb ordered the state to cease funding Faith Works, a drug and alcohol addiction program using Christian spirituality in its treatment regimen. The Judge courageously ruled: "I conclude that the Faith Works program indoctrinates its participants in religion, primarily through its counselors."... "Religion is so integral to the Faith Works program that it is not possible to isolate it from the program as a whole."

Right on, Judge. Why should taxpayers fund religious indoctrination? Clearly a violation of church-state separation mandated by the First Amendment. Although the program as well as many similar ones may indeed be effective as well as quite benign, government funding is unconstitutional and a first step to the formation of a theocracy. A state religion. Unacceptable in a country where spiritual belief is quite diverse as well as in some cases, nonexistent.

... For you fervent religious fascists out there, kindly understand this writer has no opposition to Christian principles and has even embraced a few of them. Rather, it is the Aryan arrogant forcing of those principles on others that is so patently offensive. Would have even made Christ cringe in revulsion. Admirably, the man never forced himself or his views on anyone. Never.

Where the hell do you "religious" bigots get off doing the opposite? Wake up. Before it is too late. Might wisely consider removing your head from your rump first and finally understand thinking in this great country is far from monolithic. -- Not oversimplistically black and white. ... In fact, many degrees of gray and, ... horror of horrors, even shades of brilliant color. Apparently, far more than the narrow-minded religious bigot can handle. Too bad.

*****Andrea Yates*****

The drowning of five children at the hands of their mother is unimaginable. Even worse is the handling of the case by the State of Texas. Andrea Yates is on trial for her life. In the State of Texas, mental illness is apparently a capital offense. Cynically, prosecutors have offered to not seek the death penalty if she accepts "responsibility". Mighty generous of them, no?

Postpartum depression is apparently no defense. After all, Texas is quite backward and bloodthirsty in its approach to murderous mental disorders. Thirty countries will not prosecute women on murder charges should they kill their children the first year after giving birth. They are, however, prosecuted on lesser charges. Not surprisingly, the United States has not kept pace and is in fact quite behind some third-world nations in its treatment of criminals with mental problems. With the steady progression of fascism over the last thirty years, this comes as no surprise. Apparently, things will not improve for quite some time. Sieg Heil.

*****Klee's Kaleidoscope*****

Be sure to click on 'Kaleidoscope V5' on the Maxpages site or 'Kaleidoscope' on the Stormpages site for Harvey Klee's latest edition. The January 9th material is particularly poignant and offers an interesting insight into the political process. Sadly, Klee has been denied the opportunity to run for Justice of the Peace, Pct. 2 by the political establishment. Seems his personal appearance and non-mainstream views are points of contention for the corrupt and abusive sons of bitches who run and own Llano County. Too bad.

Although Klee and this writer are in strong disagreement over a variety of issues, he is quite gifted and would have done an excellent job cleaning up JP2. ... Precisely why he was not given the opportunity to run. Readers are reminded current incumbent Duane Nobles was appointed to the position by County "Judge" J.P. Dodgen and the "Boys" after the previous incumbent, Lanny Stephenson, "retired". Readers will recall both Stephenson and Nobles have been repeatedly skewered in this publication. For good reason.

Nobles was a Llano County Deputy prior to his appointment. Although this sad excuse for an "officer" had beaten the hell out of a then 42-year-old Buchanan Dam women while her hands were cuffed behind her back several years ago, he was considered "fit" by the County "Judge" and his cronies on the Commissioners' Court. After all, they desperately wanted to maintain the cash cow generated by JP2. For years, this corrupt office had done more "business" than all three other JP offices combined. -- Certainly the office of choice for the Sheriff and his corrupt officers as well as the 33rd Judicial District Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET).

With a former Llano County Deputy securely in office, there is no separation between the judiciary and law enforcement. No independence. None. Should Klee had run, highly unlikely he would have won. This publication has strong reason to believe ballots are routinely tampered with.

Klee would have cleaned up the office, however. Can't have that, right J. P.? Nothing has changed under Nobles. More of the same corruption and abuse. Readers will recall neither Nobles nor County Attorney Cheryll "Maybe" Mabry ever provided this publication with documents backing their false assertions in the Pat Lewis case. Sad to see both the County Attorney and current JP2 incumbent exposed as liars, no? Long-term readers will recall this case involved highly questionable, if not illegal, behavior by former JP2 Lanny Stephenson.

This publication is a forum for a diversity of viewpoints. All are encouraged to submit material.

*****Unbridled Fear*****

As strongly asserted in the last 37 editions, gut-wrenching fear generated by the Narcotics Enforcement Team is quite impressive. After all, these Nazi stormtroopers not only outrageously intimidate defendants and their gutless attorneys, but even innocent third parties who have suffered at their corrupt and abusive hands.

Recently, a source came forward with allegations regarding the death of a loved one under exceptionally curious circumstances. Sadly, the survivor got cold feet.

Most pointedly and quite publicly, how in hell do you expect these abuses to end if you don't have the guts to stand up and expose them to the light of day?

Every time a source cowardly runs the other way, the corrupt and abusive sons of bitches win. Every g-ddamned time. Worse yet, another nail is driven into the coffin of liberty.

If you don't have the courage to stand up and do the right thing, why should this writer continue to place himself in physical and legal jeopardy trying to expose the outrageous corruption and abuse?
